Can you post a video of the two YMIR mech battle at the end of Garrus' loyalty mission? No matter how carefully I put my squad in cover, the game pops them out of cover once the cut-scene hits, and they get mowed down completely. This leaves me alone against two YMIR mechs (which my adept hates more than anything). Doable slowly, but there should be a better way.
As soon as Garrus wants to be good friends, I'll show off that mission, but for now he hasn't asked to talk with me. However, I'm going to try to do the infamous Save the Crates mission as soon as possible, without using the Cain. I won't do it until I'm very successful at it though. I've been testing every few levels, so I'll show it when I can do it well.

only problem I have on Insanity right now is that I always forget about the Squad commands.
Does it really matter? Can I just command them to follow me instead?
I'm an infiltrator ATM.
For an infiltrator, its probably best to just have them slightly ahead of you. Use them to take all the aggro off of you're infiltrator so you can set up that perfect headshot. That way you won't miss with those precious Widow rounds.

I'm having serious trouble with the abandoned collector ship, any tips?
Hopefully I will have a section on this up tonight, at least the first part pre-weapon decide.

Which section?
The platforms or the praetorian?
was having trouble on the platforms because of lack of cover, but eventually i got through it, just took a bunch of tries

Fighting Geth
I'm using Zaeed, with Squad Disruptor Ammo, and Garrus, with Area overload
This first section outlines my strategy and reasoning behind this squad and weapon selection.
Part 2 will include info on fighting geth primes and the Geth Collossus without using heavy weapons. Enjoy!

Don't want to nitpick but a couple of points:
1.) Disruptor synthetic/weapon disable only works when its down to health. But squad disruptor is awesome
2.) Wouldn't Miranda be better instead of Garrus? SMG's fire faster (I think) and you get tempest fairly early on this mission. Especially later on when you get AP ammo for Garrus....he always overwrites squad with his own AP ammo :s.

I was originally going to do a sniper comparison video at this section as well, and while it is true that the SMG is great for its ROF, my allies seem to fire an equal amount of rounds per burst, so garrus and miranda are about even with killing power with disruptor ammo. But mainly for the sniper, which never happened hehe. An extra warp would've been really nice.

I also am a big fan of Energy Drain from my time as a Sentinel - such a useful skill even when low level.

Big Fan. Keep it up. From the comment in your video I take it you come visit the Vanguard threads every now and then. Glad to see the Biotics are alive and kicking.
Heck he pretty much got it started

Heck he pretty much got it started. I had been posting some of my vids in that huge optimaility thread but the views didn't really sky rocket (up to 3.5k on vanguard is fun fraps edition) until Average Gatsby's Vanguards are fun but not functional thread where he linked my vids to his OP. Glad he still follows us vanguards on your thread, which is now the go to place for vanguards on the forums.
Ah, Average Gatsby started that thread? Wasn't aware. Well, he definitely did for Adepts what you did for Vanguards. It's good to see this thread alive and kicking too.

Fighting Geth
Keep your eyes open tomorrow. I've done the crates mission with the three YMIR mechs. I think you'll get something valuable from it.

Too much explosion
Also not sure if you realized it or not (or you just wanted to watch the cooldown progress) but you can tell when your allies powers are finished cooldown when the bar at the bottom of their pic disappears (bottom/left or bottom/right depending on the squadmate). Nice handy way to tell when you can use another power....but its a binary indicator so you can't actually track cooldown progression.

Save the Crates mission. If you wanted to see how I deal with this mission and YMIR, here it is.
13 crates saved. Level 14 adept. No nuke. No special builds. About 3 minutes. I kill the first mech in 9 seconds. I'll detail my strategy here, because the video isn't long enough.
Save the Crates!
1) I use the grenade launcher because it has the fastest DPS of all the heavy weapons. I don't care about total power, I want overwhelming power on 1 target because I'm only going to have enough rounds to take down one.
2) Miranda and Zaeed: I need Miranda for her essentially burst damage effect on shields and armor, and for the SMG and Heavy Pistol, both of which I use. Zaeed's squad disruptor ammo is the core of my ability to kill so quickly especially when shields are down, but at least a point in concussive shot is necessary to drop the mech to its knees once the armor is gone.
3) Mechs: They will only attack you if you are not under fire yourself. That means don't even bother trying to kill more than one at a time. Overwhelm each one before moving on to the next. What you want isn't to necessarily kill the mechs as fast as possible, but to have them stop shooting at the crates and start shooting at shepard. Killing the mechs quickly is a means to an end.
Anyway I think this is a youtube record for now, so go out there and beat it! And give me any feedback you like, I really appreciate it.

Got any tips for handling them? Singularity doesn't trap them when they have armor up, incinerate doesn't cooldown fast enough, and I think I suck at aiming cause I can't strip the armor off of them fast enough to deal with the constant influx either :s. Honestly I think varren has surpassed scions as my most hated enemy.

Vindicator or Predator for gunfire - vital for taking down armor while on cooldown. Grunt does a good enough job with Squad Inciendary Ammo and a good shotgun.
Sing for trapping, Throw Field for distancing.
Heavy Warp plus Incinerate (use Mordin, of course) plus gunfire. Sing what's left, Throw or Pull anything that gets past Sing.
