unfortunately nothing fixed my game issues, even unable to "Uninstall" lol. Currently in the process of deleting everything and re-downloading via Steam... Looking forward to the patch

I would just like to add my voice to the chorus of Steam users who are still unable to use the toolset.
Havining now finished the campaign (which I loved btw) I'm really keen to start using the toolset which was one of the reasons I bought the game in the first place.
*Eagerly awaits an update*

What is going on with this? Could you guys please get a fix for this. I've finished Dragon Age quite a while ago now and I'm beginning to lose interest now. I used to check this forum every day for a solution, then it was every other day. Now it's not even that. If it lasts much longer then I'll end up forgetting about it, and there goes the long term playability of DA.

This is weird, I don't even get an error during install. The SQL installer just shows that the files didn't install and immediately closes to the "Send/Dont send error report" box. I finally found the folders and the sysdbupg.sql file after using that utility in the OP to get rid of the old install files... and the line I need to edit isn't there. The file's there and everything, but no SELECT @certificate_name = QUOTENAME(@certificate_name, '''') anywhere in it. I'm running XP 32. Any ideas? I'm getting kind of tired of jumping through hoops.

i have given up on the toolset until it is released on steam. hopefully they will have fixed all of the issues with pieces of the toolset being copied to weird places (not the temp folder) and the extended address for the actual game, etc.

You know, it would be nice to hear SOME sort of official word on this. I realize that it's not Bioware's fault, but I can't help feeling a bit annoyed that I spent money for the game on Steam only to find that the toolset (a major factor in my decision to buy) doesn't work. I guess that's what I get for not researching it all out beforehand.
Please...please hurry up and fix this?

There is no specific issue with the toolset and steam. The initial release of the toolset had a problem when it attempted to install SQL Server 2005, due to the length of the file path for a default Steam installation of Dragon Age. The currently available version of the toolset (1.01) installs the MSSQL database to a much shorter path name.
