I currently use Yahoo Mail, & the Yahoo Homepage, but i've recently checked out the Igoogle Homepage & it looks more useful than the Yahoo Homepage in utility & usefulness. (The only utilities on the Yahoo Homepage I use is the easy access to my Yahoo Mail, & the Ebay button, & the Ebay button can be easily substituted for with an Ebay Homepage Bookmark.) Igoogle Widgits look like stronger utility.

Also, i'm trying out Firefox & I refused it's offer to use it's Homepage, now I regret it, because I wanna scout it & see what it's got. Could anyone link me to that Firefox install 'default Homepage'? I can't find it on Google, since I can't figure out how to refer to it.

Lastly, the meat of this thread, I wish for feedback & reviews for Gmail & Thunderbird, especially from users of these 2 emails. I've scouted both of them on their Home Site Info pages, & having trouble determining if they're worth switching away from Yahoo Mail to. (I've heard good word-of-mouth vouching for Gmail from a friend of mine's mom, but noone I have real-life contact with knows squat about Thunderbird, so I wanna see lotsa info about both of these emails before I make a decision. Is email provider choice even a big deal?

Many thanks for your time. :)

I have both Yahoo and gmail. I use my gmail accounts a lot more often. It's more convenient for me because gmail hooks into my blog, but other than that, there's really not that much difference. Both have worked well for me.

they're all just fine. i like thunderbird because i like that style of interface for my email (thunderbird, outlook express, etc). i find very little difference in any of the common emails.

Is there any known difference in security power between the 3?

I finally found the Firefox 'default site'. It turned out to have a button in the Options that could set the homepage to it. It was not only very underwhelming, but doesn't have any default e-mail link. I would a thought it would a had a Thunderbird link at minimum. Igoogle's looking like the best Homepage thus far, & it has default G mail access.

Anyone use Igoogle? What do ya think of it? I've tried it, but not many of the Widgets are much for quality, & there's a lotta Trolls in the Feedback. Igoogle at least still out-utilities the Yahoo Homepage.

Any known place on the Net that has a default Thunderbird link? (To scout.)

(It's hard to research stuff that takes more than Googling.)
