I wrote this out before, but the forum gods apparently devoured it. So, here we go again:  I've been having a good time smashing things with my two handed warrior, but l have him about halfway to max level and am getting a bit nervous about how to spend the rest of my attribute points.

Specifically, I don't really know how much strength he might eventually need. I'm aware that his high end abilities need 34 to 40 strength, and 40 was my original strength goal, but do I need to go beyond that for the higher end weapons or armor? Is there going to be some 66 strength "Blade of Lucifer" down the road that'll make me kick myself for pumping dex up? 

Too bad there is no codex for equipment regarding this game. It's fun to stumble about and all, but you get pretty invested in a character after 20 or so hours, and finding out that he's stuck with an inferior weapon because I was a moron would be pretty darn disappointing. Still, it'd be even worse if my eventual specialization required more than 20 dex and all I could do was clumsily throw my gorilla hands up in exasperation. So, yeah. Good times.

Anyone able to clear this up for me, at least somewhat?

I believe the highest strength req I've seen was 42 or 44, so no worries if you don't want to go past that as far as I know. I haven't tried the dlc yet though, and I could've missed something.
