My friend has just recently given me his blood dragon armour code as he is not too fussed about it, so i was wondering can I still redeem it on Mass Effect 2 even though I have never played Dragon Age Origins and havent registered the game.

It'll work. I just bought dragon age today and the first thing I did was try out the dragon armor. Dragon age never even went into my console until two hours later.
