On Normal, Adept's gotta feel like a biotic God and Vanguard as a Charging God with a Shotgun lol

Go doped up Volus...   :alien:    nah, just kidding.  Adepts are for sure Biotic gods on Normal.  Hmmm..  after looking at it, my little alien face looks more like a Salarian than anything else.

LOL. There really isn't a biotic god feeling unless you play on Normal. The closest I got to feeling like a god was my Sentinel. I never even lost my tech armor during the suicide mission. My adept was pretty good on Normal, but I got into a rut of using shockwave on unshielded enemies, warp on armor and barriers, and then cowering whenever a shield was present. I never really used throw, pull, or singularity. My vanguard was fun, but not necessarily godlike. Gods tend to not worry about death. All vanguards do is scramble to avoid death.

Thanks

Another question. Should my starting bonus power be reave, warp ammo, or slam?

Depends on who you go with. I'm a huge fan of Reave with my Sentinel, but I think warp ammo would be better with an adept. You can use pull or singularity and then shoot and I think you do a lot of extra damage since they are being affected by biotics. Since Vanguard has pull as well, warp ammo may be the best bet with both.

I'd go with Energy Transfer (or whatever Tali's unlock power is). That way you have Warp vs. armor and barrier and Energy Transfer vs. shields. All bases covered. Then again, I like playing a Vanguard on Insanity with the Claymore, so I may or may not be crazy and you may or may not want to take anything I say seriously.

I actually agree with you thisisme8. I didn't even think about Energy Drain. That would make you kinda like a sentinel in the sense that you have a tool for every situation.

To reply to the OP, I'd go for Adept. Warp and throw is the most "godlike" powers in my humble opinion, as it's a one hit TKO on small enemies like c-drones and husks. Shockwave is okay too, but gets a bit repetitive. Also, you can't aim much *where* you want to throw them with SW.

I think I actually skipped throw on my Adept, but that was so long ago. What's the cooldown on it? I remember loving the hell out of Pull, and since so many characters either had Throw, Concussive Shot, or Warp, it was instant awesomeness with my Pull. Especially since, if I recall, it has a 3 second cooldown. Add the Adept passive power for more cooldown, and then the Biotic research upgrade and that thing was non-stop!

Adept is a machine. Don't let no one tell you different.

Even in top difficulties.

It is.  Average Gatsby is documenting his Insanity run with tons of great info in it.  Check it out here:

both play diffrently

adept are all about manipulating the enimes

vanguards are berserkers and are geared mostly on the offensive.

I honestly like slam when playing as a vangaurd, it's quick and deadly and you can then rush into another opponent.

reave is best with adepts reave+warp=cheapiness

Adept is this game's equivalent to a magic specialist in a general RPG, but is fitted to work for a action game. He manily just make people fly around in circles with his powers.

Vanguard is a close-combat specialist, who mainly has biotics so he can charge through solid object so he can shoot people at pointblank range. His powers are useless for his play style and he mainly focus on just killing the bad guy very quickly.

If you like to just throw people around the place, play as a Adept. If you want to be a forced to be recond with when you have your shotgun out, play as a Vanguard.

I chose the adept. I have to say, at least on normal, it is more fun than the solider. I'm not understanding why warp is supposed to be so much better than the other powers. It's probably the adept power i'm using least.

I am now a BIOTIC GOD. Without global cooldowns i would have been a ALL GROWN UP HUMAN REAPER ADEPT PSUEDO GOD.

Well on normal and veteran all the powers are good

My Adept game is on veteran, and I feel pretty godly. I use dominate which is awesome in 80% of combat situations.

Pull an enemy or drop a Singularity on them, then use Warp.  The combination causes a Warp Explosion which will kill almost everything you face on Normal.  Evolve Warp to Unstable Warp and it only gets worse...  or is it better?
