before the SQL things..
this msg pops up :

Dragon Age Toolset Setup

Error opening File or Writing:

C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\BioWare\\Uninstall Dragon Age Toolset.exe

Click Abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip the file.


so , i manually created the directory and it worked...
but , can this error be steam related or something other ?

before questions are comming , yes the setup was in admin-mode

if i uninstall it now , the created directory will correctly deleted...



so i think it must have something to do with the installer itself , because he is not creating the directory ?

Had this issue too and did what you did. I aso have the Steam Version

I am experiening this issue on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit with a Steam installation of DA:O as well. I am currently trying your folder creation work around.

After creating a folder named "BioWare" in the directory of "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Common Files", durring the installation of the toolset with the error window still present, you can then press "Retry" and the installation succeeds. I would have to agree on the "Installer failure" assesment, it is obviously not creating this folder.
