I then quit, went offline(we have internet cap limits in South Africa) and tried to go back in to ME2, but right after cancelling the login to Cerberus I was greeted with a message "Unable to verify the following DLC". I then proceeded to log back into Cerberus to 'verify" the DLC, but after going offline again I was again greeted by the very frustating "Unable to verify the following DLC".
After a lot of trouble shooting I realised the culprit is the 'BioPersistentEntitlementCache.ini' located in the located under Users\\*User Profile*\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Config folder. As soon as this file updates by logging in to Cerberus, I am no longer allowed to play the DLC offline. If I replace it with one from my previous backed up saves, I am allowed to play offline, even the new Cerberus Armour DLC.
Is this a policy change that was quitly sneaked through by EA/Bioware whereby you are only allowed to play the DLC whilst online? or a just a bug?
I can replicate the bug or 'Enhanced gameplay feature'
PS if the bug is that I am allowed to play the DLC whilst NOT logged into Cerberus, then forget I said anything
