Hm...so if I can't have Kaidan or Thane I at least want a new male Biotic (malien or no I want him to be a biotic). Humanoid. If human some long hair would be nice. Maybe a cute little English accent and stripperific clothing.
No to the clothes, accent is fine... and biotics are generally considered physically weaker than soldiers. (Shepard excluded whom no one ever mentions as a biotic anyway)
Hendel however, is BOTH a biotic and a soldier...

Can't be if he was half the posters would be extremely confused and EVERYONE would want a romance with him. As you can see from this thread. Sadly that's not the case.

Very. As I told you some threads ago, there's a lot of money to be made in minorities without great costs.
I actually am starting to agree with you. One question Bioware would have to answer though, would be how many people would buy ME3 with gay romance that wouldn't buy it without gay romance.
Bioware won't mind people complaining and petitioning on the forums, their sole focus as a business is to sell as many copies.
Then bear in mind how many people who would buy ME3 won't buy it because of gay romance..
Personally I don't think including a gay romance would either significantly increase or decrease their sales. So it comes down to whether they want to spend the resources on this, or on something else. And you have the 100% of the playerbase vs. 20% of the playerbase question.
You then have to factor in how they would implement it. It would be harder than say in DA:O where you could be a homosexual character from the very start.
Personally I do not see them doing this in Mass Effect 3 or in Shepards story, but I actually do think they will include gay romance in future series of the Mass Effect Universe if they make more games.

Thankyou for bringing this up. Unless Bioware does a census and asks people who bought the game what their sexuality is, we'll never have a definite number to make estimates with, so DoucheBag y2K is full of it

Female Shepard Launch Trailer Kudos to this person!
And Ryzaki, long hair and tight leather just screams stereotype. Something I think most of us can agree would be bad.
I like it!

Kasumi is the next DLC a woman and Bi
Former certainly, latter unlikely. I don't see a DLC romance happening, even though I would have nothing against it.
hendel would be a FANTASTIC option
I have to agree that Hendel Mitra would fulfill the position quite well, assuming that he's physically available in ME3's timeline. He's an established character in the story's world, and there's no question about his sexuality. He is also not a stereotypical gay who might offend the target demography and annoy those who find the idea of homosexuality uncomfortable. The question is what is his role in the main story, and does it make him available as crewmember.

Indeed.
Still Big Boss is <3.
And that kiss Ocelot gave Snake at the end of the game. Pretty hawt for 2 old wrinkly guys (even if they were ridculously buff and Snake's outfit showed off his perfect ass.)

I do feel that most of the gay community here are missing the main anti point.. which is that rather than spend time and money on art, animation, writing and voice acting for something that most people will avoid and never see, they could spend the same time and money on art, animation, writing and voice acting for something that everyone will see and enjoy, including your community.
Except little work is needed to allow for a gay romance. You simply have to allow for romance dialog and animation to be available regardless of the PC's gender.

@ jimmy fury, 2 options you say are patching the exisitn game with romance options, and chaning charcters. those would be fine agruements, ones id fight for. but this is gay romance in ME 3. and the dedications of reasources part iwill retort with this. it costs pretty much 2X the amound of money to have a females shepard option. 2X again for evil and good options. after already doubling the female and male. adding a gay romance option being made would not cost considerably more reasources that would take away from any other part of the game. lets not forget all the diffrent choices of the game carrying over from 3 differnt titles. and money and reasources just isnt an issue if bioware does somthing. they can get it done.
Exactly.
This is why I stand behind an expansion that includes a new character.
I wasn't saying those were my arguments, but they were presented by the opposition and they make sense. Indeed they swayed me from wanting characters changed because I took a moment to think about how I would feel if Emma Frost was suddenly nice to people. I can easily see how the hardest of hardcore ME fans wouldn't want the characters suddenly changed.

Not of mass effect. We do know that the percentage of gay people overall compared to straight people is very small and the percentage of gay gamers compared to straight gamers is even smaller. Therefore knowing that there is a very small minority of gay players that play any games at all, we can make logical conclusions that the percentage of gay gamers playing Mass Effect would be really really small.
My whole point though was simply that you cannot judge percentages of who wants what on a forum poll of about 30 people which was only advertised in this thread. Because you won't get an accurate reflection.
It is likely, and i'm sure you will agree, that if there were a poll of every single player of Mass Effect - Tali in ME3 or Gay Romance in ME3 for instance, then Tali would win by a large percentage.
You can estimate these things. My theoretical statistics are almost certainly more accurate than some of the biased polls.
That said, I'm really not against gay romance in ME3. I just don't think it is likely that it will happen. Not yet at least.
