Anyways, this stupid thread needs to stop. It gets locked down for a damn reason. All you guys are doing is fighting a battle that's already been won. It's not going to happen. Get over it. Play something else if it bothers you that much.

It gets locked down because it gets maxed out.  In case you didn't read the first couple of posts, Mr. Woo asked us to start another one after 123 pages.

Thanks for the bump, and for your support!

ITT: People that don't read past posts.

The last thread was locked because it was too long. Woo specifically suggested starting a new one. There is no "win" here.

Oh, well my bad on that. but seriously, I think it's needs to stop. If BioWare is not going to do as you ask, then it's not happening. Like I've put on other threads supporting gay romances and such, it just won't happen and making thread after thread isn't going to change it.

But there's no reason to believe it won't happen.

Also, it's better to have a single thread where all the issues can be discussed instead of having multiple threads constantly being made. Even if you don't think it's not going to happen, that doesn't mean every believes as such and having one place keeps the rest of the forum clear of the clutter.

Who knows what will happen? At least the developers know that there's a sizable audience for the content, and as someone previously mentioned, they have a good track record for implementing well-argued fan suggestions. Thanks for keeping it on page one though!

But in seriousness, is there any other way to voice our opinions to Bioware? I encourage these threads to keep going and stay visible, but at the end of the day does it really reach Bioware? I mean, who other than Woo even checks these forums?

Before ME2 came out, I would have thought that having same-sex romances in it was a done deal. I don't want ME3 to be a repeat of that. (;_;) What other options can be explored?

I know that a couple of the Dragon Age writers read their boards. I don't think it's unreasonable that BioWare keeps an eye on what their fanbase is clamouring for. Its the only reason I can imagine there being a Tali and Garrus romance .

Did the Tail/Garrus fans do anything else besides posting cosistently?
A year ago, who would have believed Garrus is a LI?

sw33ts, are you familiar with Kandyse McClure?

Here are some pics if not:

She has purdy eyes and looks very familiar.  So I imdb'd her...and she's from Dark Angel.  I don't really know about her other than from Dark Angel since I stay away from the BSG franchise...because...well I don't know why.  Maybe I'll check out a few episodes with her in it.

I also wouldn't mind Tilda Swinton...although I don't see how it'd be possible for me to help ***** because I'm sorry I don't see myself killing Tilda ****in' Swinton.

@November Cousland
Channing who?  Tatum?  Lol that was random.

I don't think they did anything save spam the forums. Yeah, I wasn't too surprised over Tali (more surprised people wanted the romance to begin with) but Garrus was a real WTF?! :?

Hmmmm... just thought about something...
"I even have muscle"
That right there could be how they bring in a new char.
Do in-game conversations count as spoilers? hmmm... well just in case they do I'll try to explain this without any even though I'm pretty sure we all know who I'm talking about

Since, as mentioned before, they apparently already plan on putting out DLC related to [Speaker]. Then the new character could be the muscle [Speaker] was refering to. It would be as simple as [Speaker] suggesting Shep take [Speaker]'s muscle on a mission as backup. Then [Speaker] and/or the muscle could join up with the Normandy now that [Speaker]'s job is done.

The Hilarity of the Topic is the Hypocrisy attached to it. No i dont mean the Posters in this thread, just the subject in general. The Word "Gay" is always considered to be something negative or repulsive by "straight" people anyway, yet those same People have no problem watching Lesbian pr0n. Now the funny question is, why is that they do not realize that Lesbians are just as homosexual as the "Gay Guy"?:D

And i rather found it hilarious how Liara was a Cop-out since "technically she wasnt human". She's got boobs, feminine features, i classify that a Woman. So i honestly dont even understand the issue behind "Oh lets not make anymore homosexual stuff". I mean Liara was a cop-out, in ME2 you actually get either "well its not really a romance" and "SEX IS EVIL", you obviously know which two that are. Everything else is straight relationships, i figured after Dragon Age Bioware would actually go the extra mile and just do it, its not like we're asking them to do a pr0n flick, just the ability to have a romance with the same gender, for example, how hard would it have been technically to make all the Romance Choices in ME2 available for both Genders? It cant be that hard.

Found it.  here's the question and answer:

IGN: Will there be gay relationships for the male Shepard? Here at IGN we've heard a lot of positive feedback from the inclusion of gay relationships in Dragon Age; compare that with the somewhat conspicuous absence of them from the first Mass Effect, especially with the chance for a lesbian relationship.

Ray Muzyka: Here's how the games are different: Dragon Age is a first person narrative, where you're taking on an origin and a role, and you are that character at a fundamental level. It's fundamentally about defining your character, including those kinds of concepts. In Mass Effect it's more a third person narrative, where you have a pre-defined character who is who he is, or she is. But it's not a wide-open choice matrix. It's more choice on a tactical level with a pre-defined character. So they're different types of narratives, and that's intentional.

We're not saying that one approach is better than the other. In our previous games, as we did in Jade Empire, as we did in KOTOR, as we did in Baldur's Gate, and many games before and in the future, we enable those kinds of choices, whereas in Mass Effect it's more about Shepard as a defined character with certain approaches and worldviews, and that's just who he or she is. So we constrain the choice set somewhat, but enable more tactical choices and enable a deeper, richer personality, because it's more focused around defining one character, it's not as wide open. But that's by choice.

It's first person versus third person narrative, and the types of choices you get to make within that are related to that, whether you've got a pre-defined character or a wide-open character. Some of our games have been wide open, and some have been more constrained, and we'll probably continue both kinds of character development in the future.

This is actually old news, and has come up in this thread before.  He doesn't answer the question.  In any event, it's irrelevant due to the fact that this sort of content is not at all out of place, and it does not go against anything in the series thus far.

That's a very vague answer.  But he definitely does NOT say that Shepard isn't gay.

It's a dodge that doesn't answer the question. But, really, why would Dr. Muzyka know if the writers/developers have planned for Shepard to be gay or not? I don't think they holding meetings with their CEOs about this sort of stuff.

Look here, at 0:25 Shepard clearly states his sexual preference. ;)

OK, it may be cut content, but it's enough for me to hope that Shepard will be able to get out of the closet someday.

I'm just gonna ask...

Why does everything need a "gay" aspect? It's a tiny percentage of the people who are into it, and more people are either annoyed or outright offended by overt sexuality than who embrace it. I'm sorry your tiny fringe didn't get your wishes fulfilled, but hey, that sucks, you're a colossally small number of people and nothing was actively done to offend you, you're just pissed because nothing was actively done to pander to you.

Just. Saying.

Actually a majority of people don't care either way.

how small??  if you read the thread there are actually lot of homosexual game players, and alot of heterosexual gamers looking for this also.   And again, they have homosexual content already in the game, its just female/female.  I think they are just asking why have that and not the male/male aspect?  its ok for femshep to like women but not ok for maleshep to like men?

Some people appear to think that if it's not in the majority then it's not worth considering.
