It also pisses me off that parking lots have to have handicapped parking spaces, and that they reserved field level box seats in Yankee Stadium for the wheelchair-bound patrons. All 10 of them.

Honestly how many people are really handicapped riding on the bus anyways? Why waste those seats.

(And It takes FOREVER for the bloody bus to accomidate 1 handicap person, why on earth do we all waste our time so one person in a wheelchair can get on the bus?)

A blessing you say? Riiiigghht. Cos it's good for the perpetuation of the species right? Being gay is a genetic anomaly. That's hard science. Therefore, it's an abberation as it's hardly a useful trait from a species standpoint. Everyone is gay = no more reproduction instinct.

It's been a while since we've needed to propagate the species.  You'd be a good argument for the need to cull the herd a bit.

What scientific journals are you reading?   I'm not quite sure you understand the science of biology.  The hard science of biology is that variation and range of all sorts exists in all species of creature.  That's fundamental science.   In truth there's not really any such thing as an abberation in science.  Not as you are using the word.

But I really don't want to get into a scientific debate with someone who clearly throws the term science around without understanding it.  Its even more exhausting than arguing with someone who is close-minded and bigoted.

I know his religion is not any religion we practice, and I'm not opposed to religions. I have the very (liberal?) belief that we all should be allowed to belief in whatever we wish for as long as it does no harm to anyone else. I just didn't like the character, there was something unsettling about him, and his views on the world. I think the way how he escapes responsibility had something to do with it (the way how he backs his "I just followed orders" excuse with religion).

He also falls into category of scifi counterparts to elves which is not my thing - a bit like Asari do. In fact if they slapped a blue skin on him I could imagine him being the "male Asari". Strangely enough I liked Samara even if they both had similar "codes" that permitted them to kill and blame something else for it. Actually they are very similar characters in many ways.

I prefer goofy, or tough rough'n'tumble characters over the lithe emo killers which is why Garrus has major appeal even if he is an alien - I expect sparks and attitude without the other guy being a ******. Little emo doesn't hurt to show they have sensitive sides but too much is too much. Both in real life and in game characters. Some characters seem to be able to strike perfect balance though - like Alistair, Kaidan and Carth. Jacob is close there too. In DA I hated Zevran because he went seriously over the board. He was simply cheap, there was no depth to his character, and no redeeming qualities (plus I hate poetry )

Eh, I also had a soft spot for assassin characters. Not sure why. They just always appealed to me. This is a good time to mention for months I had been hoping the Drell would be the "male" counterpart to the Asari. Imagine a species of only quasi-male characters. It is probably why he became so appealing to me. The only two Drell known to exist till game release was Thane and that one fellow in the comic. No mention of females. Hell past Thane mentioning he had a "wife" there is no known female Drell. Was her being a Drell even mentioned as well? I cannot recall.  I know it was a pipe dream but it was a bloody beautiful pipe dream.

I must admit I did dig Zevran but that is just because he goes with my whole digging assassins thing. I do tend to prefer characters like you listed as well though.

LOL, and should we ban everything that doesn't perpetuate the species? Can we prohibit people from multiplying if they're stupid? Drug addicts? Should we prevent the births of people who are handicapped, mentally challenged, or who will be unable to procreate because of a medical condition? Is the perpetuation of the species the only rationale for relationships, love, marriage? Why does homosexuality threaten the perpetuation of the species at all, as if it will somehow be catching? One minute you're so secure in the heft of your heterosexual majority, and the next you argue that allowing the minority that you dismiss the right to the same freedoms you enjoy is going to wipe out heterosexual civilization as we know it. Why so fearful?

Now now, this is a gay thread you two let's be pretty and witty and gaaaaaaaaaaaaay....and drop the personal insults.

I leave for a bit and this dang thing grows...now can we please go back to what we'd like to see in the game.  Whether it be a new chracter, what they would do or a former chracter and what they would do.  Not a debate on how many gay people are in the world...and beating dead horses...so on so forth...

My manShep is certainly gay for Kaidan  He's holding onto the hope that after Horizon, and after manShep scr*ws over TIM, Kaidan will let his guard down and allow Shepard into his life at long last

Kay let's ignore the trolling post above and let's start a vote? Maybe?

1. Have a current former bi LI be an option for the same sex. Ex. Thane, Tali, Kaidan is open for same-sex.
2. Start a brand new gay/lesbian chracter possibly based on another person. Have the DLC released now.
3. Same as 2 but released for ME3.
4. Same as 1 but released for ME3 or at the end of the trilogy...so a new like boxset.
