i dont get it.

anyhow, i can understand why a gayman would like to have a M/M romance.
cause like the rest we are getting emotionaly attached too the games leading character shepard as if it were us instead of shepard (thats how i am sometimes with the game)

so its hard for straight players (like me) too see "there own" shepard have sex with a guy.
that beeing said, i dont/shoudnt care as long as it doesnt botter me like acidantly romanced him just because im nice (ME1)
were all adults and this small fact shoudnt bother others, get over it and lest face facts theres nothing strange about homosexuality, its been there since the human race could write and record there history (ancient greek, feudal japan, etc)

im not going into the F/F cause it should be manditory in a game
sad but true its also more socially accepted then a gay male relationship.

but on biowares defence, for not having a same sex is because your playing a character thats mostly already fleshed out.
and for the other rpg's you can be who ever you want (thats why no voice speech for your own chaarcter in DA:O and ME its there cause all you can eb is shepard)
and i think its fair, let bioware make there game, if they dont want a gay shepard (too much extra work and headaces of fox and others) then they wont.
the first 2 ME instalmenst were great games, cant wait on number 3

edit: tried to make it abit more readable (dyslectic and not a native english speaker) as for the hyper sensitive (mostly americans) people i didnt mean to offend anyone.

Many of the solutions presented seem quite reasonable, and I hope Bioware at least considers the option.

I actually saw a poll a little while ago, asking if Tali should be a romance option for FemShep, and the vote when I saw it (maybe an hour or so ago) was 86-39 in favor. I think whether you look at that poll, or the length of this thread/the last thread, all the evidence is this is a VERY popular topic, that has very broad support. I think all the actual evidence points to the fact that we are not, in fact, a 'small group', but rather those who are opposed to us are the small group.

Theres at least 10 or so ME1/2 players that are gay I believe. Considering from the previous thread I have 11 friends or so now. So, give or take a few, but, I'm sure not all speak in these threads. I'm not sure what is left to cover that wasn't covered in the last thread, but, lets continue onward!



I'll probably be avoiding this thread like the plague though because I am tired of reiterating the same points over and over again: Fem Shep having the option to be gay, "third person narrative" not being an excuse and definately not an answer as to why M Shepard can't have a male romance, Shepard being defined as a hetero is bull (considering he doesn't have to romance anyone at all. Or she), with all the background changes and possible romances (2 possible female romances for the Female Shepard, and no male option for the male Shepard. I consider it to be a fair and reasonable request for the option.



Now, this all being said I once again will probably not frequent this new thread unless said friends give me a message to check out what is going on a particular time because, as i've said, repeating myself gets old and I'd rather be spending that time shooting collectors, or something else.

Exactly. There is the "small group" that opposes what we want to be an option. While we are a "larger" group there is an even larger group of people that don't care either way. The fact that there are so many of us speaking up about it, and so few arguing us against it while others listen and pique in defend our point every now in then - is in our favor.
