Well, I have to say, I support this topic, but I also have to mention I'm one of those straight guys who had to fight my insecurities off a bit just to hang out with some friends of mine and not come off homophobic, and I've stumbled onto a few conversation topics in the past while talking that have ended in me getting nervous and saying "Oh, no, I'm not into that." to a couple people followed by an awkward silence and change of subject. I stumbled into my relationships in ME2 just by wanting to keep up to date with my crew, honest, and given the limited conversational direction you can bring up with each of your crew(It all comes from the "I'd like to talk more about you" line) I kinda wish there were different tangential topics you could use to come to different conversational conclusions. Then again, if I can accidentally smooth talk myself into someone's pants in real life, maybe that's one of the little things that makes the game more realistic.
Haha. Well the obvious solution in game at least is to colour the dialog options that start a romance a different colour such a green. The talent you have in life may be useful at least when it comes to women.
Another option is an optional DLC released at the same time as ME3 to enable m/m and f/f romance options. There is also my idea where in ME2 if you do not romance anyone Mordin makes comments thinking you are interested in him. This scene could be used to unlock m/m romance options in ME3.
