Seriously, Garrus and Tali are loyal to begin with really, so is Jacob if you think about it. The "loyalty" quests earn loyalty for some, build it for others and I think calling it "loyalty" oversimplifies the varied relationships Shep has with various squad members.

Just my opinion- I don't think 'loyalty' is far fetched, just not the most accurate word to use. Especially when you romance miranda, jack isn't particularly fond of your company even when loyal.
