In my opinion what she said was incredibly racist, but I don't believe she intended any insult when she said it.Intent is important. Leliana's only "crime", imo, is ignorance and she seems genuinely apologetic and willing to reexamine what she knows. I got the impression that Leliana never really *saw* the elves before joining the Warden. She saw the beautiful, well cared for servant and never looked past that at the person beneath. Then again, would she ever have had the opportunity to do so?

Edit: Liara was awfull in that game. Ashley made me wonder why I saved her on Virmire. Wrex wasn't able to get this fat behind from the throne. I am not interested in something like that repeating in a DA expansion.

My biggest question remians, what if you let Anora become the Queen & not Allistair. A lot of people are
presuming things about Awakening becuase of what they saw in the trailer. But Allistair as king does not fit in with all the ending choices possible. A favourite companion returning from DA:O could also mean that Bioware might give you the option of picking one favourite companion of your choice.

Well it doesn't look like she is according to the FAQ. Good news is Gaider says although you cannot go forward in your romances, it does not mean you suddenly and awkwardly broke up and there is a reason for it. Now go lock yourselves in the bathrooms and cry.

This gives me hope. I note it says you cannot go forward, not that the romance ended. So you're just.... separated by duty temporarly or something. I could see that.
