 she certainly didn't get on MY nerves. But if you don't like her, then I guess your opinion. But if that's the case why didn't you just not get her at Lothering or get rid of her when you destroy the Urn of Sacred Ashes?

I agree but BioWare is far too lazy for that. They're seriously lost some of my respect with the first Dragon Age, they earned it back in ME2... We'll see what happens with Awakening.

@-Beta-: Excellent, I didn't explore this during my playthrough. Next time I go through the game I'm making sure Leliana does not make it.



@Leather_Rebel90: Funny that - it's exactly the opposite in my case. Bioware lost a lot of my respect with ME2, then regained some with Dragon Age. Now they're back on the downward track with Awakening (what a fitting title, I must say).

Glad I could help.... well I shouldn't really since she is my favourite character, oddly though I missed her quite easily on my first play through and I only found out about her after I finished the game.

Same here, though I'd like to see that happen in a fully-featured expansion that allowed the established story of my warden and Leli together to continue. No US for my warden and both together rebuilding the grey wardens then setting out together to pursue the darkspawn as per the epilogue. It's a shame the romance was pulled from this one because otherwise that scenario would have fitted nicely into the Awakenings story. Maybe they could have restricted ongoing romances to one existing companion only and fixed it as is. Probably too late for this expansion now.

As for those who didn't like her, was that because she prattled on about the Chantry and the Maker too much? If you had used the dialogue options back at camp after her personal quest to convince her that she doesn't belong with the chantry and she should just be herself, then it cut most of that out. She even thanks you for it.

what they should of done in awakening is that whatever character you had a romance with in DAO that should of been you companion from the last game unless that person was Morrigan or if Alistair is king

I think some of you guys are missing the point. The reason old companions aren't in it isn't because bioware hates you, or they wanted to focus the story on finding the root of the darkspawn, it's because it would be too difficult to do voice overs for every character and options to talk about some of the choices you made (and every possible outcome of that choice). They would either have to gimp the story or the new characters because they wouldn't be able to finish the game in the time alotted. That's why ME2 is the way it is, hopefully they'll put enough time into DA2 to address

this. Also I wonder what happens if your warden killed Oghren as he seems kinda important to the plot.

Yeah you have to bring the true Leliana back, so she embraces her inner bard and drops all that Chantry nonsense.

I will miss my Leliana, her character really connected with me.  Even on my other playthrough where I am romancing Alistair, sometimes I think about switching to Leliana. I can wait for her if she comes back in future expansion or DA2 not sure what they are doing next. 

If they kill her off?  Hell hath no fury...

i keep my leliana as the chantry girl as i didn't like the epilogue of her being a bard going back and assasinating people in orlais, a life of a revenge is a dark one so i chose to keep her as a loving sweet chantry girl

God I so hope my schmoopy is in the expansion...I loved listening to her stories and ..she had a lot of them...

That's not a problem if you're in a romance by the end.
