Zaeed is in the game because every game needs a Canderous Ordo.

Posted Image No way does Zaeed come anywhere close to the Candy-man!!

Your words mean nothing because you called him the candy man...

Apples and oranges anyway.  Everyone knows that the Skull > all.  Except, you can't trust the skull.

I thought he was an extremely interesting character that was simply underdeveloped and/or not showcased properly.

This, to be honest.

He had a lot of potential, but hes not really developed much. You just go up to him and recruit him, then he gives you his loyalty mission imediatly.

They should have let us talk to him, nobody knows about the guy except that he's the former Blue Suns' owner and creator. How come Shale talked but he doesn't?

The only thing memorable about him is that he almost got choked to death by a Hanar once.

I just wish Vinnie Jones did his voice acting. He reminds me of a character from a Guy Ritchie movie.

Zaeed is not a sympathetic character (that's the difference between him and the rest of the crew). Story wise - he doesn't bring anything to the table (even with his loyalty mission... though i do have to admit i wished all loyalty missions were like his 'the probability of you failing to gain their loyalty if you choose a certain path' only other one that you could possibly fail is Tali's/Samara's was more a cool twist).

Gameplay wise - I haven't tried the more challenging difficulties. But I barely found use for him throughout the whole entire time.

Next to Thane, he's the best sniper in the game.  Unlike Thane, you can also equip him with a Vindicator.  And more importantly, he has an AoE effect (2 if you count Concussive Shot) and Disruptor ammo, making the Geth easier to deal with.

From the time that you first get him, he makes a pretty solid companion to take along.

IMO, Bioware realized very very late that there was no straight on Human Soldier in the game, and used Zaeed to fill that role.

I love Garrus, I love Thane. I love Grunt. I love Mordin.

But no one filled the role of that Human Soldier.

Not to mention, you can recruit him without any effort, just show up on omega. Thus he is the bomb for early missions. Personally, I would have loved this guy to have had a much larger role in ME2. His side dialog during missions and various comment are priceless. And he an amazing tank/damage dealer with good crowd control, even early on.

Jacob wasnt even a straight soldier.

He was like a Sentinel or Vanguard.

I also thought he was shallow, and unlike Miranda, was working for Cerberus right on through, regardless of whether or not he liked you.
