Hi all

I don't get a lot of time for gaming, but am thoroughly enjoying both Dragon Age and now Mass Effect 2. I'm only ever going to get time to play ME2 through once and so I would like to do it with the best possible setup. That means that I would like to have either Singularity or Sniper Rifle on the Vanguard that I have chosen to play the game through with.

Now, I started a Soldier with the purpose of getting 150 kills with the sniper rifle, but that is proving to be a pain. I've just got Garrus to join me and I can't have collected more than 30 or 40 kills with the sniper rifle.

So, I've turned my attention to trying to get Singularity. Now, I've read a few posts on the subject and the gist seems to be creating an Adept, getting him through the starting bit, and then simply firing off 75 Singularity blasts and bob's your uncle. Only this didn't work.

Please can someone give me a detailed description of how to unlock one of these from the start. I only get about 2 hours a week for gaming and so I'd really like to have a bonus skill when I start going through the game properly because I'm only ever going to go through this game once.

Are you sure you're playing mass effect 2?

It sounds an awful lot like you're talking about Mass Effect 1 with the 150 weapon kills and 75 uses of a power. Those achievements and ways of unlocking things don't exist in ME2.
