God, I feel quite lonely here...

I mean I agree with most of you (garrus and Tali recruitement is great), but isn't there anyone that thinks Jacobs loyalty mission is the best ?

I love that wicked story, love the classic music when you approach the final combat.

I have very little connection to Jacob in general, but I found his loyalty mission by far the most original and interesting, something I only see in a good movie or good novel. Reminds me of Delivrance, by Boorman, in a way... if anyone knows.

My favourite recruitment? Hm. Interesting question. I really enjoyed Garrus's (because, as someone else mentioned, he was a bad ass), but I liked Jack's, too. The whole puragtory thing was cool. Thane's was nice, as well, mostly because of the E3 demo. I guess my favourite would have to be Garrus's, and the runner-up would be Jack. If Thane's had had a little less shooting and a little more role-playing (or the ability to try and stop him from killing Nassana, or to actually choose more than half of what Shepard says) it would be first.

As for loyalty missions, without a doubt Thane and Samara. They weren't the longest, and Samara was one of my least favourite characters, but both of them had more or less no combat, and that pleased me. Mordin was good, too, because it was nice to see Wrex and watch Mordin's character develop. I probably actually liked it the most out of all them, but I enjoyed playing Samara's and Thane's more.

To sum-up:

Favourite Recruitment Mission: The Archangel

Runner-Up: The Biotic

Favourite Loyalty Mission: Thane

Runner-Up: Samara

Atti Ito wrote...

1. Tali. This was easily the most emotional part of the game for me (besides the end) and I cherished it. Going through multiple times with different styles but similiar results its fascinating. Having one of the few times Shepard says bull**** also helps its rating with me..

I'm playing a renagade shepard now, and when I picked that option, it was probably one of the best lines I think I've seen in the Mass Effect universe. The whole emotion and shock from everyone when Shepard just explodes like that is freakin awesome.

As for me..

Recruitment Mission:
1 - Garrus -- Ya I have to say, that one was pretty cool, not only did it introduce an older character again, but it was a nice surprise when I first learned that Archangel was indeed Garrus. Pretty cool.

Runner Up:
2 - Thane -- The level itself was well design, it really felt like you were going up a huge tower, and the fact that it could of a lot of meaning with a import character since it has to do with that Asari diplomat made it an even better mission. Plus, the renegade options of throwing someone out the window was awesome! haha

------

Loyalty Missions:

1 - Mordin's Mission -- Man, this was a close one, a lot of them were very good, but considering Mordin's mission also had a ethical problem to it like the Legion's just made it pretty awesome. And anything with Mordin is usually pretty cool to begin with as he's one of my favorite characters for ME 2.

Runner Up:
2 - Tali's Mission - For reasons mentioned above, but most importantly, you get to see the Migrant Fleet in it's fullest which was awesome I thought. And I got mention again I really love that renegade option for Shepard in this mission.

Recruitment - Jack, by far. I did not follow the game during development at all, had not seen any of the character preview movies, etc. So this one was quite unexpected. Loved the idea of a corrupt warden and fighting out of prison. Her line of "You sound like a ****" was the funniest in the game, in my opinion. Garrus' was quite good, as well.

Loyalty - Can't really decide, but leaning towards Samara's. It was "different". However, Mordin's actually brought up some issues worth thinking about.

Garrus' recruitment was the best, IMO.

Mordin's loyalty mission was likely the most interesting to me because of the prospects it brings. A possible cure for genophage. The possible effects in ME3 or the epilogue.

Best recruitment was Garrus, because the first time I played I had no idea that Archangel was Garrus so I was as happy as a little school girl when I saw him.

Best loyalty was Grunt because I got to kill a Thresher Maw on foot - a feat that was really satisfying due to all the times threshers popped up under my Mako and killed me in ME1 - total vindication. =)

runner up - Thane

Best loyalty mission - Garrus (I went paragon w/ Sidonis' "situation")

runner up - Grunt (Krogan culture = win)

runner-runner up - Mordin (really makes you think, from a moral point of view)

The Archangel recruitment mission has my vote. However, it was tarnished by not just one but two spoilers. I knew ahead of time that Garrus was in ME2, and thus figured that he was probably Archangel. The second spoiler was when I opened up the art book and saw that Garrus gets busted up.

Best loyalty mission, I'd say Grunts, in large part due to the awesomeness of headbutting a krogan.

Best loyalty mission achievement name is Thane's.

Recruitment: Garrus' and Tali's. Garrus' was very nicely done and felt very fun to do. Turning on the mercs like that... Tali's on the other hand was most interesting in my opinion. With that I mean the research and such.

Loyalty: Tali - Just love the migrant fleet.

Best Recruitment:

Garrus. I'm a sucker for defensive missions. Tell me to hold a position and I'm all over it.

Without the dirty connotations, though.

Best Loyalty:

Samara. By far my favorite character.

I actually liked the Thane recruitment mission most of all. That was epic.

As for loyalty missions, I think Jacob's Lord of the Flies-esque freako-father quest was the most interesting. Very dodgy.

however i also really enjoyed Jacob's, Thane's, and Samarra's loyalty missions.

Jack's recruitment mission was also pretty cool.

the most vanilla of the bunch in my opinion was Miranda's. but it gets poitns for being different.

Tali's loyalty mission had some of the best writing in the game and the whole idea of the flotilla and quarian politics is great. It wasn't as good as say, Samara's loyalty or Thanes recruitment mission in terms of gameplay, but writing and atmosphere it was the best.

Recruitment: Garrus, taking on multiple gangs? So amazing.
And Thane's, his entrance was so great.
Loyalty: That's hard I loved a lot of them.
Tali: I loved the speech you could give if you had enough Paragon points and how close you feel to Tali
Jack: It was disturbing and heartbreaking at the end when she's playing with the detonator.
Thane: I loved his because it reminded me of Carth's son mission from KOTOR.
Samara: Going to a club and also all the funny things you could do to get noticed. Total CSI mission.

I forgot this, but now that you reminded me, this was one of the best moments on the game.  It almost felt not Mass Effect though.  Like it could have been a different game or movie.  They could make a film of what happened on this island.
