I'm playing my second runthrough of ME2 and I'm starting to have second thoughts about letting Rana go in the Krogan mission. This is the second time I've met her now (counting Mass Effect 1) and given Garrus's rather ominous warning about third chances I'm wondering if letting her go might come back to haunt me in ME 3. Thoughts/feelings on the subject?
What to do about Rana Thanoptis?

They always say something about third chances, personally she is rather harmless I am not killing her just because she is a dumb. She really thinks she is helping Okeer, so I didn't feel bad about letting her go.
But I am not too big on personally executing everyone I come across either.

What exactly did she do to make you want to kill her?

she was at two sites that had some connection to the genophage

The Genophage was wrong. And in ME1 she is studying Indoctrination not the Genophage.

I guess it depends on what your thoughts are on the genophage. I let her go because I'm still on the fence on whether the genophage is still the right thing. It's definitely not a black and white subject though. There's always room for interpretation.

Her presence has little real consequence though, even without her there Okeer would still be doing what he is doing.

yeah ill let her go just because she didn't do anything bad per se and because I have a sneaking suspicion that she will be back in the 3rd game if i let her live.

Of course you need to kill her.
You see... it's really been her all along. YES! The is Harbinger in human form! She seem innocent. She's always trying to 'help.'
But, she's always in the thick of things. I mean.. how small is the universe anyhow? You'd think it was down to two dozen systems and 50 or so planets or something rediculous like that.
Mark my words, in ME3, she's gonna do the Exorcist thing.

I would love to tell her "It's time you start looking for a fridge..." once. But yeah, she's pretty harmless, just gets mixed up with the wrong crowd. Unless in fact she's an agent of the Shadow Broker or something.

She's harmless, but my Shep is rather resentful of her since she escaped a nuclear explosion while his buddy Kaidan didn't. If she's in ME3, shooting her will be way to tempting...

You don't meet her in ME3 but killing her is the right choice since she commits murder-suicide in asari space, damaging your war assets.
