It doesn't matter how intelligent you are, the Reapers are smarter, older, and will indoctrinate you when given the chance.
Cerebrus couldn't possibly understand the Reapers or the Collector technology.
Legion put it best when he said that the Old Machines control us by setting the path of our development, using Reaper technology is just asinine. They already understand their technology, uniting the galaxy is the smarter route. It is unpredictable and the Reapers already fear a united galaxy of sapient races.
Cerberus created EDI from the scraches of sovereign. EDIs is just damn usefull, even can analize the entire Collector DNA in few seconds and adapt to the IFF of a reaper.
Also the Thanix Cannon were created mimicing sovereign original cannons. And they were damn usefull destroying the collectors cruiser with 2 volleys. Each beam was powerful enough to punch a hole clean through the Collector cruiser.
Cerberus can be helpfull. If you are PRO human, you wont regret, they will help you win this war. Will use that base as experimental vaccine for the virus named reapers.
but if you chose the pro alien path, maybe later you will have some surprises.
