I ran across this ability/spell in the Wiki article about Wynne.

She didn't get this during the playthrough when I had her most of the game.

What's required to unlock this for her?

She needs to talk about the Spirit, and what happened at the Tower. That happens after a Random Encounter with a "Darkspawn Leader".



The Vessel part happens with an Omega.

You didn't get the scene where you're attacked by darkspawn in a random encounter? Everyone falls down and Wynne casts a spell - calling on the spirit within her. It weakens her.



The spell does not appear in your skillbar - it is in your list of spells though, hit 'P' on a pc. And you just drag it into the skillbar to use it.

It's almost part of a quest, I'm trying to remember how exactly I got that lol. I know it happens on a random encounter but i don't remember if you have to trigger anything before hand... I think her approval's got to be up, well I've always had her approval up when it happens. But she definitely needs to be in your party when it happens. Wait the first encounter will be a bunch of darkspawn n after the fight you will get a cutscene n she faint's n tells you she'll talk to you in camp. When you get bk to camp she will tell you what happened. Then on another random encounter you will come across a "special" darkspawn n Wynne's ability/talent will appear.
