You are being rather childish again so I will ignore your inevitable nonesense.

Once we are certified, we will immediately begin work on deploying. What this means is that the notification of the release date could come... on the release date!
Thank you for walking right into that one. Go away now.

Read your own quote, that's pure speculation there. He said COULD, not "we will" or "we plan to".
What I said was, "you will not get answers to your questions. you will hear nothing until they announce the release date".
Are you denying that's what happened?

I have not denied anything, particularly because stating that your point was "You will not read their posts until they post" is a fallacy, a circular argument.
Our point was: we will make us much noise as possible until we get an update and release date. We got both. It could have happened later, there could have been a March 11th announcement. Instead we get 3 weeks advance.
You can refuse to see the points we were trying to make and continue to try to validate yourself by repeating irrelevant statements. It does nothing for anyone else but you, so how about you leave the thread like you said you would so*many*times.

It's not circular, you just continually twist my words to fit the parameters of your argument. I'm not saying you won't read their posts until they post it. You phrase it that way because you have no response to my actual point which is: no matter how much noise you make, all you are going to get is a release date.
You continually told me I was wrong about that. Perhaps it is you who needs to read more closely to understand what other people are saying.

I have not twisted your argument in the slightest. You on the other hand have tried to twist ours repeatedly, stating we believe in conspiracy theories, we want someone to hold our hand, and we want minute-by-minute updates. We did not. We wanted an update and a release date asap. We got it.
Your re-casting of your point is not relevant to ours. "no matter how much noise you make, all you are going to get is a release date" has NO BEARING because what we wanted was a release date asap. And I firmly believe that noise affects such things. You are free to disagree, yet are not right as your statment is irrelevant to ours, which you were for some reason argueing against.

Moving on good to hear somthing the delay seems to be marketing driven which is some what infuriating since I HATE marketing as a concept. Thats not really a slam against Bioware just that I hate marketing got A's in that but I still felt dirty.
Hope no ones talking about how they love Bioware for giving us a release date (the latest possible date without completely crushing sales). It seems like a wife being all thankful for getting flowers after getting abused on every other day. Not sure if i'll get it or not seeing how close to awakening which i still plan to get. The fact that you can't export your DLC stuff to the new game makes it pointless for everything except to see the story. Oh well anyways hopefully they will improve or I will be far less likely to buy a Bioware game in the future.

We got both an official thread for ps3 rto and a release date, like the other platforms had. That's all there is to it.

Haha. Don't hate marketers. We are not all evil.
I do think that there should be some questioning regarding how "fair" it is to delay RTO so much after certification, but the reality is going to be that if they release it now it will not sell. That's pretty much a fact, people have changed the disc in their consoles and will likely be more tempted to buy closer to Awakenings. It's a business decision, that's not kind to those users who want it now, but in the end cannot be avoided... And tbh I prefer if the sales are good on PS3 so we get better support in the future.

As an example of why marketing bothers me and this isn't a flame to the whole of marketing just the part I hate. "In a recent survey 4 out of 5 doctors prefer "whatever" which may have been true in that round but they may have done it 1000 times to get the result they wanted and chose that. That kind of stuff. I have a more specific complex example from a car insurance company but I got to go to work god 3#@% it.
At least this nightmare is over I'll have to occupy myself with Heavy Rain

A real marketer will follow an information pyramid. Data--->Information--->Knowledge.
Knowledge is when you are in the know. Not the data, which would be the results of the survey, nor the information, which would be survey+context, but also adding industry specific tips n' tricks, and making a projection. Projections are then used to weight different scenarios to balance satisfying customer needs with profit line.
Since RTO got moved from its original place, it needs to find a new advertising wave to ride, and Awakenings would prove the closest bet.

Oh yes. You put up such a persuasive argument just so you could convince REALITY to agree with you.outlaworacle wrote...
No one except reality. You should visit him more often.
You were attempting to convince others to agree with you, however no one did agree with you in the end.
AKA, you failed. Congrats.
