You have a single core CPU, there are serious problems with playing ME2 on single core CPUs. Currently there are only partial fixes for those problems, BiowWare is working on a patch though. There is a thread on this if you are interested called 'Crashing/Stuttering issues on Single Core for PC'.

IDK, but I've got a little Core Heat monitor running on my desktop, and it's saying I got two cores. I can run Dragon Age at max everything, without any system hiccups or crashes. Maybe the softwear I'm using to check my internal hardware isn't working right.

I can also run DA:O at max everything and i have a single core. Maybe your heat monitor is wrong.

system falls below the min req not well if it runs at all dont complain if you have issues find another game or update your out of date PC

the P4 is a single core CPU with Hyper Threading will it may not have the issues of non-hyperthreaded CPU ie the game will run with the single core issues
the CPU is still will under the min spec for the game as is your GPU get a new pc

easiest way to tell man if you have a dual core or not. Click start, click run.. type dxdiag then on the general tab somewhere in the middle you'll see processor and in parenthesis you'll see a number of processesors you have in that computer.

Its NOT a dual core, it's Hyper Threading you can see in the task bar.

I'm sorry....

Just want to let people know, I just started playing it, it runs fine with no issues what so ever, and my processor is dual core, and was part of in incredible small line of them.
