Could you imagine Jory after Duncan died, you would have to drag him with you round Fereldan by force and shove a rod up his back to support his spine. Of course thats assuming that he wouldnt run back to his wife instantly.
Then what would his reaction be to finding out about the Archdemon and how to kill it. Cant make up my mind about whther youd find him gone in the morning, whether he would be begging Morrigan for the offer. Or whether he would be begging morrigan and finding him gone in the morning.
Probably a little unfair on that last one, wasn't he from Denerim? and therefore wouldn't his wife be most likely in the city?
If Ser Jory wasn't such a coward....

I wasn't down on him leaving his wife and kid behind. And Duncan tried to talk him out of it a few times.

He would not be thrilled, but he would probably take a swing at it. But he wouldn't fight you about it like Alastair.Allattar1 wrote...

I think he was from Highever and his wife from Redcliffe.

I think you got that backwards. I'm pretty sure he was from Redcliffe and she was in Highever. I could be wrong though.
