What i loved about the magic system in origins were the spell combination.
So will this addon have new ones?

Might be, it was one of the new aspects of the game- though I wouldn't expect many if at all. I mean the game itself had very few, and most really just sucked or were never used. Grease and fire was good, but aside from that and the Storm of the Century, I never used any- even by fluke.

yeah from an utility standpoint those combos weren't great but i liked the game mechanic.
they should make more combos and improve the usefullness.

I didn't use that many combination, but those that I did use were worth casting the second spell if you ask me.
Cone of Cold plus the fist is an easy way to get the strongest melee guy down and the 2 glyphs are great of stopping archers and distant mages.
And if morigan had cast hex of vuneribility on someone in blizzard and her health wasn't maxed, why not cast drain?
I would be suprised if bioware didn't add new combinations or at least new ways to use combinations.

i liked the grease and glyph combos the most.
you could prepare those fairly well.

But seriously, some new combos like
Implosion : Glyph of Warding + Fireball? Or perhaps, targeted creature with crushing prison + fireball. Something that would suck in the power of fireball and make it more of an implosion. Or at least, that's what I'd do.
Prismatic weapons : with 3 mages only, Frost weapons + Flame weapons + Telekinetic weapons combination make the weapons actually do a much larger spirit damage per hit.
Barrier : Spell wisp + Spell Might + Force field, makes a large round barrier, in which persons can't enter or exit.
Eruption : Inferno + Earthquake = a lot of hot magma everywhere around.
Blade barrier : Telekinetic weapons + Force field makes barrier that damages nearby creatures, friendly or foe.
There are many others I could think, but these are the main ones.

Nice ideas, dark-lauron. I've also been thinking about this, I reckon there should be;
Great Flood: Blizzard + Inferno = a massive downpour of water that enemies need to pass a physical resistance check to stop being knocked down if they fail that then they must pass a mental resistance check to resist drowning (continual nature damage).
Increased Electrical damage: Any Ice Spell + Any Electrical Spell = double electrical damage (but only effective while ice spell is still in effect)
Ice Age: Blizzard + Earthquake = when frozen by blizzard, earthquake will automatically give a shatter chance to any frozen foe.

I didn't notice any new combo entries in the codex. I hope they do add spell combos.
Another possibility.
Crushing prison + mana clash:= Fade explosion. Mana clash takes spirit energy from both prison and mage's mana, and causes a massive explosion of spirit energy/damage.
