It would be nice to disable the showing of helmets ... I don't know about you but I do know that sometimes, I spend a considerable amount of time customizing the look of my face of my new Shepards. It's probably an art decision to prevent the removal of helmets but even the players that customize their Shepards are artists to some degree.

I would have to say

Count your blessings

Remember Bioware doesn't have to do this. Any other company would have made you pay 5$ for it.

Even after all the complaints Ive seen from people with the "one set" unique armors and their inremovable helmets, I expected BIOWARE to wise up about the CERBERUS ARMOR released today.

BUT NOOOOO!!!!!!!!

They release the coolest armor so far, and.... AGAIN WITH THE FREAKING HELMETS.
Why did the put so much time in making life-like facial motions jutst to release DLC that hides them.

I know the game cant be perfect, but come on, this is so FREAKING OBVIOUS.

I didnt make the greatest SHEPARD ever just to see light reflection when I look at where his face should be.

In short, this is a big concern for me and BIOWARE (if they value their consumers) should fix it. I know im not the only one pissed off at this, yes Im talking about you.

Is this all you guys can do is complain? I mean really, Bioware is nice enough to make an awesome game like this and give us FREE dlc and all anyone can do about it is complain. Come on guys lets just get over whether it has a helmet or not. Its a free dlc for god sakes, Be happy that they've given you that. They very well could've charged for everything.

I think bioware should at least implement a removable helmet. I know nothing about making or adding things to video games, so if its tough to put something like that in I understand. But in future dlc they'll hopefully address what people are complaining about. Either way, I'm happy for getting some new content, the shotgun is great and the armor looks cool, it'd look even better though if you could see shepards face.

You're right. And we don't have to buy it, or atleast not buy the next one. I bought this on account of what Mass Effect 1 was, but to me they turned the once roleplaying game into an adventure game. So if I buy the last one would be quite dependant on the support they throw into this one. They sold us an unfinished game, and why wouldn't they release the rest of it for free?

Unfinished game? You ask. At game release there was settings for how to control your vehicle, but the actual vehicle is delivered later. That's why I consider it an unfinished game. And I think there's more missing as well. No, I'm not complaining about that, but I do want them to release what is left.

That's a very interesting point and makes a lot of sense too if you think about it. Overall though, I know we're getting little teases now with armors and weapons, but when the first real DLC comes out (Looks like it would be the Hammerhead) I seriously hope it doesn't fail.

In the end, I really would like to see a steady flow of DLC for Mass Effect 2 to sort of build up for the invitable ME 3 conclusion.

I'm worried, that after this proposed Hammerhead DLC coming, we won't see anything again until the the winter or early next year which would stink.

Well it's not only my view - there's an interesting Kotaku article about it, including some good quotes from industry figures such as the CEO of EA and some very sound analysis.

And I'd agree with you, I'd really like a steady flow of DLC, but ofcourse game content development is a finicky business - Mass Effect seems to be a priority franchise for EA though, so I'm sure it'll get the resource allocation it needs.

Only reason I don't wear the Collector Armor, Terminus Armor, and now Cerberus armor is because the helmets are not removable.

Plus I liked how if you did the upgrade for ammo compacity it makes an ammo pouch strapped to your arm, made it alot more realistic to me.

The ammo capacity mods didn't add extra ammo pouches to the character's armor. Those were special armor pieces that you can buy  that add even more ammo capacity to your character over and above the upgrades.

really? maybe I didnt notice it until after I did the upgrade, but still a nice touch of realism.

It really is annoying. I mean, in DA:O they removed the helmets during conversations just fine. Why is that so hard to do with ME:2?

QFT I know its probably a differerent engine and all but its the same concept. Kissing people through helmets, just doesn't work.

The armor looks nice and the shotgun is cool, even if it sounds like a paintball gun, but it is kind of funny that the DLC armors all hide Shepherd’s face while most of the other characters don’t wear helmets even in near vacuum. Kind of schizophrenic design philosophy.

The new armor isnt something they just coded in the last few weeks, it's something they've probably been working on since at least just before the game came out, if not longer.

Chances are, future armors will either feature removable helmets, or they'll try to code in a toggle somehow.

Same here.  It would have greatly helped with the "one set of armor" we got for how much they touted the customization thing.  Still, long as its free I don't really care.  It'll just go in the armor locker forever.

Really, you're complaining about free special armor? it wouldn't be that special or unique if you could change it in anyway. Plus, if you were given free armor that had a helmet that couldn't be taken off in real life then sent to a battlefield would you complain about not being able to take it off? bad similarity but you got to look at it from a practical point of view, if it was made for heavy combat situations then a helmet would be necessary.

And you better be thankful that no one can really hurt you with headshots in this game or even hit your head, cuz if they could and it dealt the same damage to you as them you'd die, alot.

If BioWare actually cared about the issue they would have posted that they would fix it for us. I did PM'd Mr. Woo about it and he simply stated that as Christina Norman said; It's working as intended.

So, don't get any hopes up that it will change.

So to all you complaining about this issue due to the whole kissing/drinking issue, what if you could wear casual clothes in the places where Shep kisses and drinks? ie. ilium and the citadel (as well possibly as Omega)

Here is a suggestion I proposed. Maybe they'll acknowledge this seeing as it would be easier to implement than what some of you are suggesting?

A lot of us hate the new helmet designs. I dont expect anything to change for Mass2 but I'm willing to bet it will be different in Mass3. I would be cool with that. For now I just don't worry over the head bonuses and armor sets.

i liked it better when helmets were cosmetic and removeable.

i dont even like the helmets in-game that are removeable because i never wear one and i'm punished with the loss of added health

I think the bonus is so minimal anyway it's worth it. Best would have been the option to toggle it of course, but *shrugs* Things being as they are...
