Okay, I hadn't run into this until just now:

I'm playing Miranda's loyalty mission.  I've taken Jack and Miranda with me.
I have Squad power usage set to OFF on my gameplay settings.

Jack KEEPS overriding my ammo and the squad's ammo with her stupid warp ammo.

I'm the leader, and I DECIDE when Psycho SuZe uses her warp ammo.

Things to note:  I just downloaded the new Cerberus Armor and Shotgun package.

I have squad disruptor ammo for my soldier and Jack has squad warp ammo.

Are you surprised? Jack doesn't deal well with authority...

Well, then they should've gave the option to ****in' stick a shotgun down her throat for disobeying direct orders from her badass commander.

If you look at the text that pops up when you mouse over the "no squad power use" thing, you'll see that they will still use defensive and ammo powers. It's annoying, but there's no way to change it.

You know, this... along with the lack of an auto-aim option, leads me to believe that they got really ****ing lazy with the gameplay options this time around.

So, I can't turn off auto-aim, and I can no longer decide between squad powers being off, defensive only, or fully active.

Can someone tell me WHAT THE **** WAS WRONG WITH MASS EFFECT 1's OPTIONS?!?!?

Gameplay designers, "Well, uhm... we thought the detail and accessibility from the first game was just a little too much to carry over into the sequel.

I mean, honestly, we have this engaging, intellectual story, coupled with a lot of interesting and fun concepts of gameplay, but we're just not sure if our ever-expanding audience will be able to cope with such a demanding options menu... so what we've done is streamlined it, to serve our lowest common denominator.

We had considered spitting directly in the faces of all the loyal fans that had pre-ordered the game, but we considered this to be a more efficient and economically viable solution."
