Seriously grow up. The game is fun, some things didn't go your way. Deal with it. Life isn't fair. I disprove of some things in ME2 but I'm not going to cry about it and make a wall of text about it either. Did your parents baby you when you were a kid?

The whiners that post in these forums are the vast minority. They are just the over-zealous haters that need to stop talking.

Honestly, I think it's the nature of forums.

Go on the Halo forums (only briefly, or you'll drown in the idiocy*) and you'll notice an even higher level of whining. Of course, the fanbase for Halo is many many times the fanbase for Mass Effect, but still.

It's insane how much people whine online. It's the meat of the posts on all game forums I've ever seen (except for independent developers or mods), not unique to these fans.

*This isn't a knock on Halo fans, so don't take it as an insult...I'm a Halo fan. Bungie.net is just filled with morons.

Than can you construct your feed back in a way it doesn't sound like you fell off your bike and scabbed your little knee?

First people whine about the game mechanics, and then you have the people whining about the people whining at game mechanics. Now we are at the "people whining about the peopled who whined about the original whiners, who wined about game mechanics" phase.

Even worse, especially for multiplayer FPS games.

Been that way since, well...  Doom.  Yes, I'm dating myself.  ;)

Wasn't on the internet though.  BBS systems.

Doom 2 opened the door to the first "LAN parties" though and all the trolling was in real time where you could throw stuff back and forth.  Good times.

There's constructive criticism, and then there's "RAAAAAAAAWR THEY HAVE BETRAAAAAAYED US!"

I see FAR more of the latter.

People have a tenancy to complain, always will. In this case online just makes it easier.

it brings a tear:crying: to my eye when people categorize every critical analysis of the game as "wall o text wont read" and then expect their 1-2 sentence opinion to be taken seriously when they just blow off any rational attempt at typing an opinion that isnt theirs.

^^ This.  I think it is just the nature of gamers.  I know there have been a lot of threads basically saying "This game is broke, I'm never buying another Bioware game again", but if you do actually look there are some very well structured and very Constructive critiques of the game. (you just have to shift through the dross).

If you really think these forums are bad then I challenge you to go to the SI games forums when they have just released a new version of Football Manager.  Some of the whingers there are professional at it and create the same threads year in years out.  All because due to the feedback they got on the previous FM they made some changes.  It was even worse when they went to a 3d match engine view.

Any way slight rant over.

Only when you rip out "RPG staples", or try and "make the game more streamlined".

I've noticed it too. I've read a lot of the complaints and a good amount of them just scream "please bioware cater to exactly what i want or i'll threaten to not buy me3"

Indeed, and especially true with sequels.  Some people will hate you for changing any one thing from one game to the next.  Halo fans complained like crazy when Halo 2 came out and when Halo 3 came out because of the changes in gameplay.  Same with Gears 2.  Same with Modern Warfare 2.  It's just the nature of things.

It's the Internet. Expecting anything great from a forum on it is probably the highest form of naivety.
