It certainly does that jib. It's like the difference between ME 1 being a silk purse and ME 2 being the sow's ear. ME 1 is the better game and ME 2 did not surpass it in many ways for me

Oh admit it, you just don't like what they did to Liara and that spoiled your ride. I bet if they kill Tali in the first 10 minutes of ME3 these virtual forums would burst in to actual flames from all that vocal rage.

I liked Liara as a squad mates as a biotic she was great. But in ME 1 my LI was Kaiden actually.  As for Tali she was a coming of age child in ME 1 that made her what 16, 18.

To humans maybe. But she's listed as 22 I believe, in ME1. Making her 24 in ME2.

Ooooh, you have not SEEN whiners untill you've seen the Bleach fandom.

No mutants allowed? This very forum? final fantasy? Childsplay!

Final Fantasy is a proper RPG with 13 GAMES to the series, you aren't SERIOUSLY trying to compare ME 2 to Final Fantasy...lol...kiddies these day.  Isn't it past your bedtime

Final Fantasy is not a "proper RPG" ... it's JRPG. It's pop music, bleached hair, sunshine and coca cola. Baulder's Gate is a proper RPG. It's rock music, dirty hair, basements, and Mountain Dew.

(PS - I love FF1 to FF12, only a couple exceptions, and those I still like, just not love. Just saying)

Damn that made me laugh out loud. So much truth it hurts. I tend to prefer JRPGs over "western" ones too which is kind of funny. I loved FF up to 12. 13 looks like a severe disappointment though. ME was probably my first sampling of any sort of RPG this side of asia though. And I got into this series thinking it was more JRPG style than what it is and boy was I surprised. Pleasantly so though.

Final Fantasy 13 looks amazing and can't seriously be compared to ME 2. That's all I'm saying and it isn't always pop music with Final Fantasy they have modern classical music which I like. I've never played Baldur's Gate, so I can't comment on that. Final Fantasy is also cinematic and some of the series remind me of ME 1 but definitely ME 2 is not in its league at all.

You can call poo candy but its still going to taste like ****. That about covers the vast majority of what people call "constructive critisim" around here.
Once and awhile theres a well thought out and written post thats more then "I DONT LIKE IT BECAUSE I DONT LIKE IT SO IT SUCKS" or "ITS NOT WHAT WANTED SO IT SUCKS" rants.

The biggest thing with Final Fantasy though is each one is it's own ... ME2 is FAR FAR FAR better then FFX-2 ... a proper sequel with a planned 3rd installment is far different then a stand alone game. It can't forward the story too much or answer too much or there's nothing to conclude with. It becomes a character study rather then an epic. Watch LotR or Star Wars ... there you go.

Seriously grow up. The game is fun, some things didn't go your way. Deal with it. Life isn't fair. I disprove of some things in ME2 but I'm not going to cry about it and make a wall of text about it either. Did your parents baby you when you were a kid?

You ain't seen nothin' yet..............................just wait until some form of DLC is delayed, then the woodwork shatters, from all the detritus spewed forth.

I think a better way to put it is that Mass Effect franchise and Finaly Fantasy are in different leagues. I think the bridging of story from game to game in the Mass Effect series is what sets it apart. Final Fantasy is built on standalones.

On a side note, from what I've read Final Fantasy XIII is linear to the extreme, and I don't like the atmosphere it looks like they're building, I was looking forward to it for so long. But now I'm just glad that there is also Versus XIII and that doesn't look like its going to be a let down.

What the **** are you suppose to do on forums except "whine"/make suggestions/make complaints.

The only difference between the three is tone. Nothing more, nothing less.

Of course.   But tone has nothing to do with content.

You want whining?

*points in general ballpark of the WoW forums*

If they've stopped whining we're in trouble because Hell doesn't accept more people once it freezes.

There is tone in text. Read a book you illiterate. OH, and did you notice the tone there? How about there? Wording and sentence length play important factors in perceived tone. Not just caps lock.

Tone can ruin what would be a perfectly viable point. Most people dismiss all ideas and points coming from angry children. Even if the idea is good, and the point is valid.

Nonsensical thread.

One of the main purposes of these forums is to provide the developers with feedback, which they can use to make ME3 even better. If a lot of people complain about something specific, there's a good chance that it will be different in the next iteration of the series.

ME1 was nice, ME2 is far better. One of the reasons that ME2 is far better is that the developers fixed a bunch of things that got complained about often. By criticizing ME2, you can actually contribute to making ME3 an even better game.

I once saw someone getting banned on NMA for saying that Morrowind > Fallout 1&2.

A fair banning, I suppose, but harsh nevertheless.
