They werent hard in first game either, you just needed at least 3 playthroughs to get the ally achievements (which in my opinion is ridicolus)

Got Insanity last with my Infiltrator, it was fun until the end when I had to take out the terminator with my SMG cause the game didn't give me any ammo. (and I had the avalanche, not the cain)

I have necromanced this thread because I can finally sign it! Woohoo! Had to complete one full Insanity playthrough and finish the Brawler achievement.
Brawler was particularly a pain in the ass because I never could get the timing of knocking an enemy back and shooting them dead. Didn't help that I tend to play an Infiltrator: if I can brawl, I'm too close! Was rather surprised I finally got that achievement considering it was during an Insanity Infiltrator run.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any cake in celebration of this grand moment for me. So I'm gonna go buy a cookie. Maybe Bioware will reimburse me the 50 cents.

Then I thought "insanity for the first mass effect was pretty easy, I bet I can do it with this one." Then I made a NG+ on Insanity. Then I cried for a bit, dropped the difficulty down to Veteran.
Decided I had to work my way up to Insanity and definitely not do it as a NG+. Wasn't so bad that way, and actually couldn't tell the difference between Insanity and Hardcore.
Hey, I suck at Duck Hunt, getting the Insanity achievement is an achievement for me.

signed in advance. I only have to hit one more enemy then shoot them to get the last achievement. I most difficult one too. only took seven playthroughs.

Took me 6 playthroughs but I can now sign this. Kasume was the last. Insanity would have been last but I didn't want to wait to finish my 5th playthrough just to have her in my team.

They weren't hard, one of the easiest games I've played so far achievement wise, though I much prefer not having to pursue them as much as you had to in ME1.
