You keep all your stats, specializations, and talents. You really are returning as you - gear, training, level, and whatever personal quirks you imagine your character might have (I like to imagine my character breaking out into the "Spam" song when no one is looking).
Thank you for the information but it was already said that the PC would be imported as (s)he is. What I wanted to know is: would the "old favourite" return as he is in the imported save?
You have already said that "The person returning from Origins does not have the same equipment they had from Origins." but what about his/her stats, specializations, and talents (I doubt that anybody would be able to sell stats, specializations, or talents for "some cool My Little Pony figurines")?

Except -- NOT gear, right?
I'm by no means a loot ****, but I don't really understand why this choice was made.

Not to be nitpicky, but I do love me some nits. Anyways, it was stated earlier that we WOULD NOT have our equipment, meaning that we, you know, wouldn't be wearing the equipment we had at the end of origins. Unless you are saying we are keeping the stuff in our inventory but loosing the stuff we are wearing, which, you know, is kinda retarded (yes, I said it).
I completely agree with losing some or all your eq, but of course you would keeping your stats and talents. I mean, if it is years past then you would have changed your clothes at least once, retired gear, realized that you don't need the all powerful metorite sword for traveling from village to village and such.
Hmm... Don't know which quote implied you wouldn't have your equipped gear in Awakening. You keep your old gear with you - if it's equipped or in your inventory - it doesn't matter.

This is the quote that implied it! Pleased to hear you were kidding -- to me the first part of the post seemed serious, and only the "it's gone because you swapped it for My Little Pony" came across as a joke. Sorry to have been humorless.

Ahh, yes, Oghren was a rephrase of the Oghren. Oghren
does, in fact, have different gear. But the PC still has the same gear
from Origins.
Fix'd
Just take his legion of the dead armor off and leave him naked before the save lol

Hey, mr. Baudoin, in exchange of info, I send you free cookies and home made red wine, best quality.
If not, then... err... I'd be pleased to find a way to buy BioWare points, but since you don't care for your customers, I will pretend I didn't ask
