THis is the only info i could find on RTO that concerned the PS3,

While others have already downloaded, tested, played and enjoyed Return to Ostagar, the Playstation 3 Playerbase is still waiting for the DLC. However, it should be clear by now that BioWare has no control over the PS3 delay. One of the bigger questions surfacing right now among the Community is: “Will the PS3 release for Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening also suffer from a delay?”

Is Sony to blame?[/b]
Victor Wachter, BioWare’s Community Facilitator, explains the reasons behind the delay.

Actually, to clarify, the PS3 version is in certification with Sony right now. It was developed concurrently, and was submitted for testing at the same time as Xbox 360. However, Sony has a different process than Microsoft, and so their process takes longer. This is not to point a finger and blame someone else, but to make you aware of the fact that we do consider the PS3 right along with other platforms. But that part of the release process is something that we don’t have control over.

What about Awakening?[/b]
Victor continues…

We’re scheduled to release Awakening on the same day (March 16) worldwide for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

And there you have it
People can make of this what the want i know it doesn't give a release date or anything but it's all i could find momentImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Still seems weird to me, but hey who am I to comment. I wonder was this certification the same reason why the initial game was delayed behind the 360/PC release date?  If so will that mean that Awakening will be delayed by this same certification?  Or will any other DLC be delayed by this certification.  Just all seems strange to me.  Image IPB

Thank goodness all the other PS3 DLC doesn't take this long to be certified or we might never get any DLC.

Other developers, that have previously produced games for the PS3, probably don't need to go through such exhaustive scrutiny.

ea owns bioware, and it's not like its the first game ea have submitted to sony for certification. Their entire system is flawed.

I am thinking that ps3 cert was taken into count for the initial releases dates for RtO. but when everything blew up, more than once. it kept pushing back the time when they could submit the final work.

I think this is why HMX who also is published through EA, does not release their planned DLC until basically a few days before, unless it is something big. But even then it might not get announced until it is put into cert.

am still hoping maybe we get it tomorrow

This is a transcript from Phosphorus213 and a phone call he had with E.A

I guess the interview i posted from Bioware at the start of this topic is a load of bull**** from a company that has no interest in the ps3 community.

And a big thank you to Phosphorus213 for his post otherwise we'd still be guessing on who's to blame.

Afraid you are misinformed as where many of us.

This is a copy of a transcript with an EA rep on the live chat support function. You see I contacted sony to flip on them they stated they had nothing to do with it provided me with a phone number to contact EA. I did this and it told me to go to a live chat site and this is the conversation that took place. I have pasted this to the other forum where angry PS3 users have been posting for weeks now (http://social.biowar...index/841470/40)

Karl: Hi, my name is Karl. How may I help you?

: yes

: well I hope so anyway

: I am hoping to find out when RTO will be released for PS3 I have been asking on the forums for weeks

: called sony they gave me your number which said to try this area

: there are claims on the site that you are not concerned about when it gets out for the PS3 that in a statement released Bioware had claimed that the PC was the main concern and that consols came second

Karl: okay

: I am just seeking clarification we have repeatedly asked for a moderator to assist us on the forum just to acknowledge that they where even reading it and nothing

: I am sorry RTO (Return To Ostagar DLC) for Dragon Age Origins

: are you there

Karl: As such there is no final date for the release of Return To Ostagar DLC for PS3

Karl: as soon as we have the official date then, you'll get the information on the website

: I dont understand this

: How is it possible that you have released it on the Xbox and the PC for almost 2 weeks now and yet nothing is being posted about the PS3

: not even what the delay is

: its not making since

: I am a Ps3 user and I cant believe there is no way to know when the RTO DLC will be ready thats insane. I am in a management position and cant comprehend telling my boss or my customers that I didnt know what I was doing or how long it would take. I also find it difficult to understand the lack of concern for customer feed back in an industry where success or failure rest so firmly on your reputation and user ratings. I thought this game was a 10 and should have been VGOTY instead of Demon's Souls. I can see lowering the value a great deal now though when I consider that everything I saw in the games future is not going to happen. I have a friend who has already traded in his version to Gamestop and has stated that he will never purchase another Bioware product again. The replay value of this game is one of the things that I always thought made it so great I mean I got Darksiders and just like God of War you ace it and it sits on the shelf. I thought this would be the one game that never hit the shelf but there it sits waiting indefinitely I guess

Karl: I can understand your urgency, but as of now we wont have any official release date of Return To Ostagar DLC for PS3. As soon as we have any information we'll update it on our EA website, then you'll be able to purchase it.

: ok but can you please tell me why you dont know when its going to come out

: who is at fault

: sony just told me on the phone it is up to you and on the bioware site they are saying its sony

Karl: its on testing mode right now that's why it is taking sometime

: testing from EA/Bioware/ or Sony

Karl: from bioware

: ok thank you just want to make sure I have my rage pointed in the right direction and can redirect those that are pointing it in the wrong direction

As you can plainly see EA and Sony both clrealy state that it is bioware.

that's not a good sign if bioware is the one still testing it. They're the first ones to do it, not the last lol

If that EA rep is being accurate then this is bad, but having been the recipient of a lot of EA replies using their ticket system I can say that there are quite a few morons working there.

I just hope they won't give up producing add-ons for the PS3 due to this complications.

I still think a lot of people will be getting DA:Awakening. I am still tempted to get it. But I don't think a lot of people will be buying it, the fact that we've had so many issues casts a huge shadow of doubt.

I will still get Awakening for my PS3 but I'm rather surprised in how nonchalant Bioware is being about this whole mess.

Sounds like too many hands in the cookie jar. And no one wishes to confess to eating the last one.
