Is it possible to extract the sound files from Mass Effect 2? Also i'd like to know where the sound files of Harbinger are stored.

Possible, but not exactly simple. I'd wait until someone creates a program specifically what you're asking for, as it's pretty timely with the current method.

If someone would have a guide how to do that and which files i need to process for the harbinger sound files, i'd appreciate it.

I wish this were possible, I would change the soundtracks in the captains quarters they gave us the ****ty disco ones from ME1.

I think I saw a thread like this somewhere... wait... here. Very useful, especially when you want to listen to the tracks that didn't make it on the OST

If you don't want to spend countless hours extracting then converting files, I suggest you write a few handy .bat  All the files are in your BioGame\\CookedPC folder. I haven't gone through everything yet but I think the Harbinger files are probably in the ss_collector_general_S_INT.afc file.

Thanks, i was able to extract the soundfiles. ss_collector_general_S_INT.afc was the correct file. Now to see if it contains what i'm looking for or if they hid them somewhere else.

Well if you're looking for battle quotes they're probably in this file, yep. Otherwise if it's endgame stuff maybe somewhere in the endgm files? (Edit: ah, nevermind )

I just listened to Harbinger taunting Shepard. I never noticed that he also talked about your teammates and why their race is not suitable for the Collectors O_o ("Drell: useless - insufficient numbers" "Quarian: considered due to cybernetic augmentation - weakened immune system too debilitating" and so on)

I'd like to extract and mod the sounds files my self.
Really what I plan on doing if I had them is I'd like to set them up for a windows desktop. The back ground I'm using came from here and looks something like the cinema visuals you'd find in ME and ME2. What can I say I'm kind of getting tired of the startrek and starcraft files that I'm currently using.
