After seeing the size of the AI core, I'd say that there's no way she could be tranfered into a robotic body.

However, she could be turned into a puppet master.

Her mind would still be contained inside the Normandy but she would have remote control of a humanoid avatar.
The puppet would have to stay within transmission range of the Normandy, but I reckon it would work.

gah...why must every secondary protagonist be a squadmate? she, anderson, hackett, joker, your pet varren....theyre all fine in the roles they already have; there is no need to screw with the story structure just to make everyone and their mother a teammate.<_<

I have a nagging suspicion that the opposite will happen. T.I.M. is planning to use EDI to hack the Reapers and control them. Imagine the fleet he'd have at his disposal if he pulled that off.
