Surely they must catch on or listen to each others advertisements?

I was expecting all the store owners to start arguing, and then I would be all like "I'm Commander Shepard and I'm running away."

It's advertisment. It doesn't have to be 100% truthful. It's not like Shepard does promotion work under contract or anything.

Yeah, I figured my second trip back to the Citadel they would all be ticked at me and I would have lost my discounts. But no, they all just remained blissfully ignorant. Unrealistic, but at least I was saving money.

Yeah, it seems lazy of the devs but on the other hand these are different types of shops so, they don't get in the way of eachother. They ALL benefit from the advertisement.

I found it funny that I got paragon points for giving promotions multiple times. I thought after doing it the first time every other time you did it you would get renegade points, since you are kind of cheating the shops then.

No No look at it this way....I'm commander shepard..I go to the shop on the east side and say " I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the citadel " Then I turned around and run to the shop on the west side ( on the same floor within Eye shot and Ear shot ) and say " I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the citadel "
Shepard is clearly very smooth or the shop keepers are very dull.

Or you cannot understand that they have no conflinting interests because each shop sell DIFFERENT things?

He just flat out says 'This is my favorite store on the Citadel.' Which leads us to believe he's just a sheisty little bastard.

I did the ad for two stores, then I got to thinking and scared myself that I would end up running into a bunch of angry owners somewhere further along in the game so I didn't do any more ads.
