Why you would take such a cool game mechanic of having the guns heat up as you use them that was in ME1 I cannot fathom. That system was awesome. Not only that, the continuity of the series is totally screwed up. Am I supposed to believe that in the two years I was gone, every single gun that used to function without these stupid throwaway heatsinks has been demolished and replaced with the garbage they have now?

Seriously, in two playthroughs, I have yet to run low on anything other than heavy ammo. I don't know what the complaint is, unless your aim is really that bad.

The "game mechanic" I was talking about was the heatsinks on the guns in ME1, it was really cool, and I can't figure out why they would have done away with it.
I'm sure some kind of hack or mod will come out with this capability, I just wish I could get it from BioWare instead of somewhere else.

If I had wanted to run up guns blazing on everything, I would have picked a soldier. Instead I chose to play an infiltrator who shoots from a long distance. Thus, it is not my lack of ability, or intelligence that leads to my request, but a personal preference.
I could even live with having limited ammo, it's the fact that after every firefight I spend more time running around looking for the stupid clips than I did fighting.

Posting links or talking about the methods would be against the TOS of these boards.

I very much doubt that Bioware will release something like that, seeing how the system in ME2 is an improvement over the system in ME1 (my personal opinion after playing me1 and missing several things from ME2)

you only used sniper you are retarded there is more then one gun and when you get ammo it gos to all guns now i picked infiltrator and i had no problem with ammo so your unreliable.
Apparently all of my intelligence has been wasted on the use of the shift key and proper grammar.

Also, not really sure about "spending more time finding ammo than dialogue". Unless you skip dialogue with the space bar, finding heatsinks on the ground shouldn't take more time than on any other FPS game.

I disagree with your request but I really enjoyed your response to that comment. I also appreciate that you spelled 'grammar' correctly. Thank you.

They may have done it this way so that we are forced to use different guns but to me it makes little sense.

Why thank you all for the suggestions on how to play the game. As there is certainly not enough ammo in the game to allow one to use the sniper rifle exclusively, I'm quite familiar with how to use the other weapons. What I'm saying is that I DON'T WANT TO.

So,because your a clueless, stuburn, idiot, and don't know how to play the game, it's the game's fualt?
Do you want Bioware to play the game for you too?

Second, the REAL issue(s) here can only be corrected by you changing the way you are trying to approach the combat in ME2. If you don't feel that is fair to you or you can't (or refuse) to do that, I suggest you find another game to play.
- The game rewards you (with ammo) for ADVANCING forward or to other cover points during combat and punishes you for attemting to stay in one spot too long. Yes, this does NOT lend itself to playing a pure sniper, but if you advance regularly and to intelligent cover locations, I have found that you can snipe effectively and constantly (tho you really SHOULDN'T use just a sniper rifle...see below).
- The game is set up to promote (and reward) the use of multiple weapons. Sniper Rifles are lousy against shields and you will waste a ton of ammo against shielded foes. Pull out your SMG, take down their shields, Hit thier amor with Incenerate and THEN blow their heads off with a sniper headshot. Not only will this conserve ammo, it will let you take down foes much faster

You can beat the game on Insanity without ever coming close to running out of ammo. I did it twice.
An unlimited ammo "patch" would be about the stupidest thing ever.
