Anyway, on-topic. My oppion is that there will be different endings for him: Either die, become the supreme dictator of the Galaxy with his pets Legion/Garrus/Wrex/Tali/TIM at his side, and having Udina's head on pike near his throne. Or lastly ( my favorite one ):
Becomes High Admiral of the Citadel/Geth/Quarian/Krogan/Rachni fleets, crushing down any Batarians/Mercs who stand in the way of peace. Eventually retires to live a happy life with his Love Intereset.

I dunno, it seems like ME3 is going to be geared up like DA:O, where you go to different races that will provide a military force to fight the reaper threat, and as many have said it will probably lead to an ending of Shepard dying.

I think if you are renegade at the end you take the Normandy and either become a pirate are start something similar to Cerberus.
If you are paragon after everything is over you more or less keep doing what you’ve always done (travel around righting wrongs and cleaning up the galaxy).
The rest will be left to our imagination.

I think I have to agree with the majority here, that Shepard can choose his own ending, either survive or die in the final fight, and if he survives, simply disappear into uncharted territory, doing whatever the player imagines him to do, to create a harem or just getting tanked every night. But I as good as Shepard is as a protagonist (even over-shadowing Gordon Freeman which I thought not could be done) I don't want him to reappear again ever, even in cameos. Mass Effect 1-3 is his/her story.

Shepard should do something epically heroic/evil in a giant explosion, then he should go into hiding with everyone thinking that he is dead.

Too me shepard is indeed larger than life. Bioware made him pretty much invincible. It seems like whatever task he gets he succeeds. No one knew where shepard went but the illusive man and he sent Garrus after him , apparently humanity doesn't need a shepard. "scene"
GOOD GOD MAN! I am really freakin happy that you don't work for BioWare! That is the most ridiculous scene I could possibly imagine. I actually feel stupider for reading it. Thank you. Thank you for showing us how not to end the game.
Honestly though, if you guys remember Shepard is the man when it comes to finding a way out of a bad situation and I hope to hell that BioWare doesn't used the tired ass "Hero's Ultimate Sacrifice" ending as the only ending to the game because that would seriously disappoint me. I can think of about 15 games off the top of my head that use that ending and countless movies... it's tired, cliche', and f***ing overused.

As much as I hate the thought, I am willing to bet that Shepard will not be allowed to survive ME3. This royally annoys me, but it does seem to be the logical conclusion. But I REALLY hope we will be able to survive. If anyone deserves to put their feet up and enjoy a few drinks after a hard days work, it's Shepard.

I opt for making the ending like that of a Shakespearean tragedy hence the protagonist dies. This is rarely done in video games so it would make the ending that much more epic, memorable, and meaningful.

My male Shephard has already had love with Ash and make her baby and now hes gonna make subject Zero and Kelly and not forget Sexy ass Miranda ...
