I think the new squad member is like Zaeed downloadable and got loyalty mission and that's it.

I guess that's for those who haven't played yet and would have new member and for those, who want to replay the game...From the start - no, let's say from the last save before the suicide mission. So, I'd like to see some new characters in a squad.

As for drivable vehicles - they should add something for sure, as there are controls for it in the main menu.

As I said, we hope and we'll see. We have 2 more years before ME3 and tons of DLCs, so they will show us something interesting for sure.:)

The only "full" armor I'm interested in is the ME1 N7 light-(spandex?)-armor.

...btw, why is it not already in the game? - it looked cool, and it kinda fit the adept concept quit well.

i dont think there are going to be more squad members!
garrus is not on the page and he is a squad member!
morinth is also missing and you can recruit her to if you kill samara!

Okay I'd just like to point out that those two "classified" spots on the character list aren't really for us, the people that have completed ME2 multiple times, but rather for the people that haven't and haven't actually caught on as to who is in fact playable. Sure, most got the suspicion that Garrus was going to make an appearance again, but then a lot of people DIDN'T know about Morinth. She isn't technically a new character but rather a replacement or alternative.
The 2nd spot is reserved for a certain character (and incredibly awesome I might add) who speaks for "many" if you get my gist.

Try not to spoil the surprises for the uninitiated eh?

sure i posted this in the wrong forum but its not news by a long shot!!
you can google all the characters and there is mention of morinth all over this forum!
that goes double for garrus! the dudes got his own lobby!
everybody loves turians and everybody wants to se him come back in ME3!
as for the second spot!! kasumi was mentioned also in the forums ages ago!!!!
we hear bout it in the game and so forth and so on.
this however might be an easter egg cuz it has also been revealed on this very forum that somebody high and mighty in bioware bigwig department also goes by the nickname kasumi!

nuff said for now!!

p.s. again sorry for posting on the wrong forum!!!!:(:(:?

Aw man!, if Garrus and/or Morinth are the classified characters on the official site I am gonna be pissed.

I think I'm one of the few people that apparently isn't interested in the upcoming vehicle DLC. I was playing ME1 today (I'd watched someone play it in the past, but never owned it until last week) and... well. I'm not a fan of it, to say the least. >.> I think the inventory is rather clumsy, and the vehicle stages are just... boring.

I really am shocked when people say here, or in real life, that ME2 isn't in the same league as ME1.

Then you might be a FPS/TPS drone. Gameplay requiring actual thought is not your forte. It's alright, real RPGs aren't for everybody and EA is glad their marketing strategy worked on getting you to buy ME2.

Wow. Alright, that was a bit uncalled for, but thank you for your keen insight.

I've been a RPG/Bioware fan for a long, long time, from BG1. I'm not saying that the lack of any items in ME2 makes the game for me, I'm saying that the inventory and upgrade setup for ME1 was clumsy, slow, and it breaks flow sometimes like a jumbo-sized tampon.

As for the FPS/TPS drone comment, all I can say to that is that I enjoy ME2 -much- more than the previous title, especially with the difficulty up to hardcore and insanity. While I know it's a pesky thing to have to worry about any sort of ammo count instead of just going nuts with autofire until your weapon overheats, I think it adds something, not detracts.

But again, thank you for the insult. Noted.

I disliked the inventory management in ME1 but I liked the story immensely enough to forgive it.

I thought RPG stood for "Role Playing Game" not "Inventory Management Game" or maybe Im just like Ashling and thinking isnt my forte.

cheers

Okay, here's the awesome thing about bioware. Even if the two spots ar only reserved for Garrus and the other guy that I previously mentioned, (Mornith already techinically being in the original lineup taking into acount the Samara/Morinth thing) Bioware can still go ahead and go "Hey! Guess what?? We're adding more characters!!" they can just go ahead and edit the website to include them.
The only reason I came to the conclusion about Garrus and (ahh f**k it) LEGION, is the number of available slots.
Including Zaeed, there are 11 slots in-game and 11 slots on the website.

Who's to say down the line that Bioware doesn't come up with some s**t-hot DLC that necessitiates a new character?
I have faith in them all. They're not going to dissapoint. Let them drip-feed us all these cool bits and peices I say!

Yes, i totally agree with you. Designers really made a good job on that, it looks better, then any other armor/helmet in the game, including DLC armors/helmets. Shame dont have it, maybe in a future DLC Bioware ?

How efficient is the Eviscerator for squad mates? How does it compare to pistols and SMGs for them? Without the Eviscerator, shotgun squad mates certainly are at a huge disadvantage.

I've been a RPG/Bioware fan since BG1 as well and I feel precisely like you do: ME2 is clearly a superior game to the prequel.

I find it ridiculous that so many die-hard rpG-fans seem to believe anyone not appreciating the same things as they do are incapable of higher thought process. Fact is, the FPS combat in ME2 requires much more tactical thought that what was the case in ME1 and the increased intensity and realism makes it a better roleplaying experience as well. Gameplay is streamlined, but smarter. It's their anal retentive natures that cry out for lack of unnecessary micromanagement, I guess.

Hmm...on male companions, it will be fine. On female companions like Samara, Jack and Miranda, not so much.
