So i finished through ME2 with not a single crash. But 2 days ago, my
8800gtx died on me, and i upgraded to an ATI 5870.

So i try to play a second time the game, and now every time i try to
add
or arrange my quick bar the game stops responding and i crash to
desktop. I don't remember having this issue before, as i rearranged my
quick bar a lot on my first play through, but i don't really know if it
is
a game issue or maybe something related to the new graphic card and/or
new drivers for ati.



Anyone has similar problem? I haven't
noticed any other crashes on other games i tried, or in ME2, other than
the issue with the quick bar.



Any help will be appreciated. Thank

Lets hope for a patch then, its really annoying to crash when you last save was ages ago. Good thing you specified you are on nvidia, because i was starting to think that it was ati's fault, card or drivers, but seems not then.

Same issue here. But I am in a hurry to make you unhappy: BioWare are not releasing any new patches for this game. We need to search for solution ourselves.

The solution is to drag and drop powers to the bar right at the ver start of the ission, before any powers areused. Once a power is activated and in use (ammo power, tech armour), then it has a problem reaasigning and the crash happens.
