...I can go on forever about how much I adore Alistair....so I won't.

I can't tell how many times I replayed that section....flirt with zev and broke up with Zev...So I could experience that moment multiple times....poor Zev...he was so used.

At what point does Alistair make you choose between him and Zev?

I played through last night, chose Anora as Queen, accepted Morrigan's ritual, and made Alistair wait and defend the gates. However, for some reason Anora says Alistair is dead and in the epilogue it states Alistair is alive and happy with my character. Is that one text box the happy ending? Nothing else? The last scene with him talking is at the gates?



Still a disappointment IMO.

I'm thoroughly disappointed you can't romance Alistair with a male character, he's so cute and adorable and would totally pass for someone interested in a bit of bromance. Especially with that lamp post licking in winter commentary.



Not to mention he's much more involved than Zevran who just feels like he's trying to find an angle to kill you.



Oh well, made me replay as a female character to "experience the thrill of romance" with him.



Also, I went for the King and Queen ending and for some reason got a text box stating that he was ruling with Anora instead of me. Sounds like sloppy design.

I have a female human noble..and they are head over heels in love w/ each other relationship and everything..and i dont want either of them to die so in order for that not to happen he HAS to bed morrigan...right? All I can say is..I DEF agree w/ you How can u resist a smexy funny lovable knight who would be king? LOL.

At what point does Alistair make you choose between him and Zev?

1. You are in an active relationship with Alistair.
2. You talk to Zevran and pick "Do you always look at people(girls) like that"
3. Zev will ask is it bothers you that he looks and you reply with it doesn't bother me. You have to stop right there though. If you don't Zevran will be talking about giving you a massage and tent nookie.
4. The next time you choose to chat with Alistair, he will bring it up.  There are quite a few interesting results so save before you do this.

-or-
If you go to camp after talking Zev, Alistair will confront you directly.  My suggestion would be to do this option away from camp and flirt with Zev as much as you can before you go and talk to Alistair.

That would seem to be. Because ending includes whoever is ruler honoring you as Grey Warden.

You just answered my own question. Not only do you get the epilogue box at the end .....wtih Al as king you get some juicey dialogue and he honors you with what ever you want.

I tried all the options. Number one answer for me....was to support the crown. He made me chancellor. After that I screwed around with what are you going to do now options and I picked go to be with the Grey Wardens.  I received two epilogue boxes.

At first I thought it was awful and my pc whimped out and we did the whole tragic scene. It is worth watching Al give his life for you. It was like a teary moment (sniff).

But not now....
Alistair produced a child and not with Anora. Alistair and Morrigan completely hate each other. The only reason Al would bother sleeping with Morrigan is because he loves you and trusts you. And during the final battle where Morrigan tells you she is leaving no matter what...I truely beleived her when she said she cherished hers and my friendship.

And lastly...
You both get to live.

Funny, I got Alistair up to love/adore so that he asked me to bed before his sister ever came up. The only gift I gave to him was his mother's amulet. He just really approved of my choices and I always spoke to him and mentioned nice thinga about him and Duncan. I don't think his sister has much to do with it aside from another way to gain approval, and also a chance to change his personality. Which I didn't. I like him sweet.

Oh, so true.....much like "your wish is my desire" better.  Sister is only good for breaking Al's heart.  It's up to you if you wan't to kiss it and make it better for tell him the world sucks.

I think the funniest thing is after you've bedded Alistair get Zev and Alistair in your group... Zev makes a comment about seeing Alistair leaving my tent after not being there very long... so he starts to give him sex tips and Alistair is going not listening...lol.

He offers him an herbal remedy to make him less tired and increase his endurance, but still not as funny as Oghren's many, many slang phrases... I happen to agree with Zev, Alistair's romance scene is not nearly as long as the other three. I was robbed.

There are several locations that start the companion background chat, I like using the bridge down in Orzammar. Make a group with you Zev and Alistair and go across the bridge that leads to the proving. Every time you zone into the proving and back out and cross the bridge to the other side you can get the different background chats. Just keep going back and forth across the bridge making sure you zone after each chat and you will eventually hear him say it.

You just answered my own question. Not only do you get the epilogue box at the end .....wtih Al as king you get some juicey dialogue and he honors you with what ever you want.

Maybe its not just the ending that is glitchy....I can't tell you how many times my game has gotten stuck in a loop and I had to replay the same scene....especially when they're in the Fade.
