The game looks awful with horrible shimmering textures, especially noticeable for me in cutscenes.

I dont see an option in the ingame menus. So how can i force 16x AF on this game?

where is the settings file located and what values do i put into it?

also, if there is a listing in the settings file for it then why on earth isnt it in the ingame menus?

There are AF settings in the options on the menu I believe...

In the .ini there is an option to activate the trilinear filtering (as well as triple buffering), which is different from the AF. You can set the Anisotropic Filtering through your graphic card control panel, though.

I tried both of these setting. In the .ini and in the control panel profile . However, I didn't see any real difference. Either performance or visual even with it maxed out. So, not sure its actually working.

no there arent. only antialiasing is listed on both the ingame menu and also the external configuration program from the splash screen.

If you have an nvidia video card you can use nhancer to allow Aniotropic Filtering. I've got a profile setup through nhancer that allows me to make the best use of my SLI setup.

update :

setting trilinear to 1, and anisotropic filtering to 16 in the (documents/bioware/dragonage/settings folder) ini file made no difference at all in game.

doesnt seem to work. tried forcing 16xAF in ati tray tools.... did sweet fa.

needs a fix for this devs. on my 28in 1920x1200 monitor the shimmering is very bad.

I'm forcing AF through Catalyst Control Center on my ATI, and in some areas the game looks like glitter! It at least beats the blurry mess that is no AF though. There's really no reason to have bad texture filtering in modern games, even KotOR had an option for AF up to 16x! Anyways, at least it kind of works forced.
