Nah its alot harder than you think. He would be running around the galaxy people not understanding a word he was saying and constantly assuming he was some kind of heavy drinking brute. I'd totally be saving the galaxy if it wasnt for that . Plus as pointed out before Ken is scottish .

I cant recall the exact wording but i think it was something like

you know theres this woman hanging out in the core of the ship and she doesent wear anything from the waist up except for tatoos

I haven't noticed much love for Gabby and Ken here.  What a pair, absolutely hilarious!  Who can't find it in themselves to run after the lost crew just to make sure these two get out alive.  Best NPCs by far on the ship IMO.  Am I alone?

Secondary function is to raise support to have them included and developed in ME3.  The biggest worry si that, because you may not save them, they won't even get a look in in ME3 :'(  Those would be sad times.

I loved those two. I think the conversation about Jack and the one where Ken is admiring Tali's suit are my faves. Oh and the one about all the 'female energy' was hilarious. Please bring them back for me3!

Believe it or not, he isn't a reference to Star Trek.  At one time earlier in development, there were going to be light romances on the Normandy.  Unfortunately, we just didn't have the writing or cinematic design budget to do that, so the light romances were cut.  Ken was going to be the straight female light romance option.  My wife is a huge Ewan McGregor  fan, and she gets weak in the knees for a scottish accent.  Hence, Ken is scottish.  It was later when we were recording the VO that someone mentioned the Star Trek reference.  I face planted into my palms, then recovered by saying  "yeaaahhhh, it's an homage.  That's the ticket."
