Didn't one of the videos show a rogue-human male that had that pulled back hair with a bow?  Kind of Rhiordan looking at a quick glace and before the video pause police arrest me, I emphasis QUICK glance lol  Human male rogue would be cool! I would love a female warrior too ... *dreams a little dream*

She didn't make a very good first impression on me. Mostly because of the hair. Seriously Bioware, of all the hairstyles available, you just gave her the one that made Morrigan unique.



The voice is creepy too.

I was only remembering Melo's words. He said:

"Originally when you meet some of the characters, because of their personalities, you may be predisposed to think: "this is an Alistair-character or this is a Sten-character." You'll be kind of surprised later on when it doesn't actually turn out like that"...

and this is just the case when we are meeting her for the first time.. So everything is possible...

There's not enough to go by from just a short clip. I'll reserve judgement until I see her in the game.

I think it's hilarious that people are saying it didn't show enough about her, though. It reveals more about her backstory than Anders's.

so 2 out of 5 companions are mages? if your character is a mage that'll make half of your party member mages... and then + 2 Warriors Oghren and the Templar woman, the last one would be a male rogue i assume?

Making up for the lack of variety in mages for DAO.  Besides obviously you won't have to use them if you don't want. Personally I'm rapt to get a Dalish mage.

As for the trailer it was poor but apart from the hair I fail to see why there are comparisons to Morrigan, so she's haughty and angry, so what. Morrigan wasn't particularly angry except when she disagreed with your decisions.

Assumptions is the mother of all **** ups they say and this is no different. Some characters where different then they where portrayed in their trailers . So she is obviously pissed of about something that doesn't make her a morrigan clone

Honestly the Morrigan comparisons are really strange to me. Yes, she is a non-circle mage with Morrigan's hairstyle, but that's where the similarities end. I can't think of a single moment in which Morrigan was ever truly angry and yelling. She might have been a cold, cruel person, but never really an angry one.

Strictly speaking : if she's a mage, as she looks, this means we can already exclude old mages returning. At least, that's what the chantry says

Would work, except a child of an elf and a human is always human. Its more likely to be Anders than Velanna.

lol No no no, I meant a straight daughter of Fiona's with no relation to the Thierens at all.  I just really want Fiona to have some part in this game!  As in like "Oh, you look like my mom, that's weird....hey mom, how come this human looks like me, ohhhhhh"

My City Elf will just flash her Vaughan's head, Loghain's head, and Witherfang's heart, and they'll each have a new BFF.

Velanna... I can never get used to the DA elven naming. Im to used with Tolkien. They should just steal Quenya or Sindarin.. it's not possible to copyright a fictional language anyway. Enya tried and failed hard.



If not they need to fix the Linguistics of thier own elvish. Notice how different the Dalish speaks from each other. Some of them blurs their words, It sounds like americans just trying to speak a different language, while others (The ghosts in the ruins) uses perfect R and A. Listen to that boy saying something like "Mame ma serenna" or something similar, no blurring of the a and r. The kid gets perfect score from me. While the keeper chick blurs and makes the "ma serannas" and "Darlet Shirla" sound orcish...



Well I went completely off topic there. Back to Velanna, I doubt she is a blood mage, she's probably more a "Nature Mage","Druid" or something similar, considering shes Dalsih and all.

Can't complain or cheer unitl I get the game. But I doubt there will be any complaints from me, Bioware always makes great characters, and I don't care if she has similar hair as Morrigan. Perhaps it's fashion in the wilds. .
