Hi,
I found all 5 scrolls of banastor (as my inventory says) but  going to a Circle Mage doesn't give me the possibility to give them. I still have the scrolls in my inventory and the mission is not completed.
What should I do? Is there any particular Location in which should I go to give the scrolls ?

you should give it at the liasion of the Mages' Collective.

You can find him at Lake Calenhad, he is near the inn.

You only have to speak with him, accept to help the collectiv and, after, select the mission that asks you to take the banastor's scrolls.

(After you've talked to the liasion, it appears another liasion at Denerim. Try lookin at his mission, too)

any liason works be it Denerim, Lake Calanhad, or Redcliffe. just take it to one of them.

I said to try cause if he doesn't know of the existence of the liason, maybe he hasn't still started the quest. And I don't remember by what liason the quest is given.

I know the existence of liasons (I only didn't remember the right word so I called them "Circle Mage":-) ) I spoke with them and I got the 5 scrolls before I accepted the mission, is this a problem ?

I'll try again to speak with the two I discovered : Denerim and Calanhad .

Hum, i don't know if taking the scrolls before the quest make impossible to finish it.

But I remember that you can retrieve the prize from all the liasons, so it may truely be a bug.

If I remeber correctly, there a 3 liasons.

1. Behind a house in Denerim
2. Lake Calanhad
3. Redcliff (dock)

Try to talk with all three, If it doesn't work your quest is bugged. I have never had any bugs during that quest, I had a bug with one of the Chantry board quests once.. but it only occured that one time.

Ah Ok I forgot about the one in Redcliffe, I'll try to talk to all of them as suggested and I'll let you know.

I made a mistake : the mission is complete, the only thing that let me think it's not is that I still have in my inventory the 5 scrolls. I really don't know if I've been rewarded about it since I was doing more than a Circle Mage Collective mission but I suppose so.

Sorry for that, I only though that I shouldn't have the scrolls after the completion of the mission.

I think there is a bug with the quest. I can't turn it in either. I accepted the quest from the Mages' Collective Liason at Lake Calenhad. I collected the 5 scrolls of banastor. The quest never updated to say that I should return them to a MCL or anything. I've tried talking to all 3 of them, and they won't acknowledge the quest. I tried adding another 5 scrolls to my inventory with the console, but that didn't update the quest either. Since I can't complete this quest, I don't have access to the final quest in the Mages' Collective line. =/ Is there a console command to advance a given quest to the next point? Any other ideas?

you got the random encounter with the writer of the Scroll of Banastor? I forgot his name...

I also got the very same bug!!! Dunno what to do. Think i'm going to give up. The other two times I did this quest this didn't happen.
