I say send Tali back because she's terrible at fighting collectors. Only one attack she can use against them, drone. All of Mordin's attacks can be used after those barriers are down.

Jack and Samara/Morinth will be able to hold the biotic shield if they're loyal and you'll never lose anyone.

Miranda, even if she's loyal, cannot hold the biotic shield long enough and someone is going to die. As far as I know, the one taken by the seeker swarms is random.

Actually I've noticed that legion gets taken by the swarms a lot.

The only time it's not random is if Miranda is in your squad while an unloyal Jack, unloyal Samara, Jacob, or Thane is holding the biotic shield. Miranda never gets taken by the seeker swarms, it's always the other squadmate.

Samara and Miranda are a great team to have for the final boss. especially if you have wreave as well. don't stand a chance.

I am so pissed...I have Zaed as my first fireteam leader and for some reason Tali--my tech specialist through the airvents--dies every time. And i goofed by not saving before all this started so i cant re-select someone else. bull****.

Yeah, I wish the save point was before you picked your tech specialist/fire team leader.

ETA: Oh yeah, and Zaeed is the reason Tali dies. No point complaining why Zaeed can't do it, but there's always an outlet to describe what role they should have played.
