Squadmate Passive Talents

 I usually max all of my squadmates passive talents (Turian Rebel for Garrus, Cerberus Officer for Miranda) because I thought that was the best overall talent to invest in, no matter what class you play as ( I usually specialize in the version that offers them more health). Today I got around to actually analyzing what those last four points do in these talent bars and I gotta ask: Is it even worth leveling them up all of the way?

Zaeed's Merc Veteran:
1st tier-Health+5%, Weapon damage+12.5%
2nd tier-Health+10%, Weapon damage+25%
3rd tier-Health+15%, Weapon damage+37.5%
4th tier-(Warlord)-Health+15%, Weapon damage+50%
              (Commando)-Health+20%, Weapon damage+37.5%

As you can see, there's a consistent pattern there that all allies follow in one way or another. Is that last tier really worth the four points you have to spend in it, considering it adds so little?

In Zaeed's case (Garrus and Thane too for that matter), if you go for the damage option, then yes it's worth it.



The health difference is fairly negligiable.

Yeah, the damage can be huge for some of them, as well as the health and defensive bonuses.

Okay, I get that the "more damage" version is usually better.

Is it still worth those four points to max it out over another ability?

Many characters like Zaeed indeed get oddly small bonuses from the fourth tier. I usually max out the passive ability of all squadmates at some point, but for some it can wait until level 30. Depends on whether maxing their other abilities is important.



It is rather strange though that the increase from lvl 3 to 4 is half as big as from 2 to 3.

Miranda gets the best passive bonus, since it extends to the entire squad.
