Did i miss something or Thane and Zaeed make more damage with weapons?(commando soldier 25 compared with 50 percent the drell assasin gets)
Would be a little bit weird.

Technically yes. But all henchmen damage is lower, I can't remember the figure of the top of my head, but it's something like a 0.5 modifier.

How is this calculated?
0,85 +0,85*0,5,its still higher then commando.

I'm not a mathemagician but I'd imagine it'd go like this:

Let's assume that Thane's base damage is 100 with the mantis, the +50% from Drell Assassin makes it 150. However henchman have a 0.55 modifier for using the mantis, so (100+50)*0.55=82.5

Where as for Commando Shepard (100+25)*1=125.

Then count in the fact that you'll be getting headshots most of the time, plus all the potential +damage gear he gets.

I think sniper rifles use a different modifier. They seem to fire slower, but do the same damage.

[SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_SniperRifle]

bUseSniperCam=true

ZoomFOV=10

Damage=(X=263.1,Y=263.1)

DamageAI=1.1f

DamageHench=0.55f

RateOfFire=(X=70,Y=70)

RateOfFireAI=1.0f

I've never paid much attention to it in game, but that's what the weapon stats say.

"AI_BurstFireDelay=" and "AI_AimDelay" probably explain why they fire slower though.
