First puzzle - wall safe

I select matching nodes to no effect. Once in a while one circuit (first) will unlock. Otherwise nothing happens and time runs out.

Am I doing something wrong?

My system:
win 7 64 bit
core i7 920 oc'd to 3.2
ati 5970
X58 mobo
875 watt psu

There is a timer that counts starts counting down when you click on the first node, and you have to click on the second before it runs out. You can only see the timer by watching the first node, you should see a circular border around the node that incrementaly disappears as the time counts down. (and it doesn't give you that much time)

If you're having problems you may need to adjust your mouse sensitivity. See the Mouse acceleration sticky for tips on how to to that. I found that moving my mouse fast enough and accurately enough in that mini-game was impossible until I adjusted some of those settings.

I ran into the problem you described which I solved by changing the mouse batteries :)

Thanks

I completely missed the node timers. They are fast but I made it.

yeah it will get easier the more times u do it... just remember clicking the wrong one will normally lock u out if it is an optional decryption.. e.g. a wall safe and u will have to reload to reaccess it although some of them do not follow this for some reason... i personally love this system as opposed to the me1 system of pressing button sequences.. seems more realistic as far as ideology goes...

Hi there, I'm a bit slow on the uptake. Is the trick to connect matching nodes as quickly as possible, or do you need to select two modes that are close to each other? I've also been clicking around like crazy but without success.

What about us old farts. Is there an old guy mode where they remind us of the node we clicked on and give us thirty seconds to realize that the mouse is already in our hand and another thirty seconds to find the cursor and another thirty seconds ..... Just a comment from an elder game player. Would like to see more intelligence and less twitch.
