Yeah it's for Xbox. So obviously if you have the PC version, there's no need for you to reply is there?

"Oh gee, hyuck... well I ain't never had a problem with that! Must be them damn gays! Those damn gay xbox owners and their ******'in around and such! I don't have nothin' to contribute or nothin' but I thought I'd just dun chime in anyway so I can move the conversatin' along not one bit. "

I have the 360 version and have no idea what your talking about.

Ditto. I play the game, shoot, and move along. I don't know what anyone means by an auto-aiming thing. Unless its the simple Boxing out that enemies have around them so you know where they are for targeting abilities on them.

eh auto-aim, never noticed it in the 360 version, only in me1 and there I always turned it off

It's different in ME 2, and it's always on.

Your reticule will occasionally move to follow a moving target.  In ME 1 you would just face in the general direction of your enemy and fire, but since ME 2 has no character stats to use for the effects of a gunshot, it physically moves the reticule. A fair portion of the time it doesn't just help you follow a target, it helps you line up shots that will miss more consistently than if you had control of the ability to adjust where your weapon is aiming.

Also, I still love this game.  I don't believe the tripe that the game will somehow stop being awesome just because people become aware that it has flaws.  Of course it has flaws.

Every game has flaws, ME1 was full of it, ME2 has flaws only less flaws then ME1.

About the aiming, if it's there it didn't bother me. I made clean headshots, got those pyro's with pistol and shot those Scions with submachine guns and was loving it LOL

It's most noticeable when sniping, and even more noticeable on Insanity difficulty.

Insanity: "Where every shot counts and the retardation of your Squad's intelligence becomes painfully apparent."

Auto-aim through a scope will "lock-on" (like the previous poster mentioned). However, as an enemy passes over your cross-hairs, auto-aim will lock onto the first part of the body that touches the cross-hairs. As you try to compensate for this while the enemy is moving you usually end up biffing the shot entirely. Given the fact that in insanity, you have little time as it is to expose yourself, it can become quite frustrating to have to continually aim for the head whilst fighting against ****-poor auto-aim.

Settling for body shots should not be the answer for poor interface controls for Xbox owners (unless, of course, those body shots are spiced rum from Jessica Alba's navel)

I am currently playing on Insanity, but I haven't noticed this. It's possible I am just oblivious...

So that explains what is happening. I've lined up shots and the cross hair moves for no reason when the target moves and I have to keep adjusting the cross hairs on a moving target resulting in a miss sometimes.

EA = Ridiculous

also...

EA = The decline of Bioware

-----

EA usurps genuine awesome talent and craps out mediocrity.  It is a money-hungry bloodthirsty powerhouse in an industry already bigger than Hollywood, and it doesn't give TWO ****ING ****s about ART in gaming.  All it ****ing cares about is SELLING as many green and black jewel-cases as possible.  **** you Electronic Arts.

Ive seriously seen this argument made for alot of different games... in the long run though, it helps more then it hurts, you just don't notice when its helping.

Just making sure you know EA != Darth Vader, Sauron, Hannibal, Skynet, or Lex Luther.

Maybe... I definatley agree that i enjoy shooters more on PC (though i got ME2 and 1 for xbox), and that i like the controls better.  However, many people can't afford decent PCs, or aren't computer literate enough to want to deal with problems on PCs... and there are always problems.

Now there's not rurning back. And yeah... hardcore gamers should stuck to PCs... for the next 5 years, when the piracy scale will get big enough for developers to dump our platform compleatly.

Ok I didnt actually get what the big deal was with this as it never happened to me until tonight.

So scene set: There were about two vorcha in cover in front of me and two heavy weapons on the balcony above and back about 100ft. I put my crosshair over top of one of the missile gunners and moved out to zoom in and take a head shot. In that time one of the vocha moved out of cover and was spam firing at Miranda. My zoom in went straight to this vorcha and I had to re aim to get back to my orignial target.

Ok it was slightly annoying and can see why there are threads on this. But I have used the sniper countless times now and this really has been my first instance when this has happend. It wasnt a big deal but I can see why a lot of people say it shouldnt happen. However there must be countless occasions where I dont recognise it happening and it helps me out.

It really is a give and take system. Ok one out of two hundred kills it messes up but the rest of the time I have no problem with it. Especially if your moving in and out of cover a lot and need to essentially quick scope and that is what the system is really aiding. For you to peer out of cover quickly without needing to spending a lot of time lining up your sight in cover

To bad its pretty much just as easy to pirate 360 games as PC. Give it a few years and just as many  people that pirate PC games will be the same as 360. You can pretty much look up on Craigslist and the people that Fix (RROD) will more then likey toss in "Chiped" and show you how.

Actually, I kind of liken EA to Tyson Chicken Corp.

If anyone hasn't seen the movie Food, inc., I would recommend it with the warning that it offers a very disturbing look into how our food is processed and manufactured in this present era.

Anyway, I picture EA hanging games on meat-hook conveyors and winching game developers on cranes through to the slaughtering floor, all in the name of profitability.

Corporations are bad. But ... you ... all knew that...

Man, I'm the resident Bioware naysayer, dammit... it happens so quick.

Yep, there's the rub.  Even though the PC is the superior gaming platform; someday, the big name devs are going to abandon the PC.   It's happening already.  Let's face it; DAO and ME/ME2 should have been PC titles ported to console, not the other way around.

DA:O was PC only... thats why it had another 6-8 delay before it was release for Xbox/PS3.
